Okay, go back a few more seconds to about 10:47. There is a figure sitting in the window that the shooter fires at, and it slumps over. That is the figure you think is a mannequin, and I respectfully disagree. I think the gray you are seeing is a gray beard on very dark skin. And once he shoots it at point-blank range, blowing the cap off its head, there aren't going to be any facial features left to recognize, whether it's mannequin or human. Besides, the entire body jerks when he shoots it for the last time. Doesn't look like a mannequin to me at all. Sorry.

I've noticed this too. This is the same music that was playing in his car as he arrived at the mosque. Not the polka crap, but the military-style drum and flute music. It starts up just before he arrives. I think he has this music playing in his car and he has it synchronized with a bluetooth device on his body, possibly as part of the camera on his helmet. I also think he's using this music as a method of keeping track of elapsed time.

As for why it starts and stops when he shoots, you said that sound doesn't work like that and you'd hear both the music and the shooting. The human ear and electronic devices detect sound differently. The built-in microphone in his camera would detect a gunshot as a new peak volume and would immediately adjust its input amplitude downward accordingly to avoid distortion. When it starts registering no sound at all, it gradually readjusts its input amplitude back to where it was.

I loaded the audio track from the shooting into Audacity and verified this. The music and background noise is all registering at around -12 dB prior to the first shot being fired. When a shot is fired, the input is reset with the gunshot peaking at 0 dB and he music and background noise disappear off the chart. But once the gunshots stop, you can see the gradual reset of the peak amplitude clearly in the waveform and the music becoming audible again coincides with the visual waveform.

Anyone can perform this same analysis. Audacity is free open source software. So please, someone else load the audio and look at the waveforms while listening to the clip. You should see what I'm talking about.

Silver / grey four door sedan. Not sure of the make. Putting this out there when they pull the vid, which they assuredly will.

I did a quick read on NZ license plate numbers -- numbered plates. They wouldn't put a "O" in the letters because the "O" would look too much like a "0" (zero,) so it has to be a "Q."
