Here is a video of someone using a similar setup with a 9400f and gtx 1660ti - Note the settings in the video though, without those settings (antialiasing off - shadows off) you won't be able to always keep around 240fps required to max the potential of the 240hz monitor. Game looks great still with antialiasing off and shadows off



The RAM in the composition above is slightly faster though, being 2666mhz CL 15-15-15-35 vs his 2400mhz CL16, so it might even be a little bit faster than the video suggests.



I picked the ASUS monitor because it specifically states g-sync compatible, but there are two other contenders like the

Alienware AW2518HF - Does not state G-sync compatible explicitly but is known to work with G-sync as well according to reports. Some report issues however which the ASUS might also have. Not sure if those issues would also to be found on more expensive native G-sync monitors

Finally, there is the way more expensive Benq XL2546
No G-sync or Freesync but has something called "Dynamic Accuracy" which helps a lot with keeping track of fast moving targets.

Those are all top pick monitors for competitive e-sport, making it hard to decide which one to pick.



Also, soon there will be 2560x1440p 240hz monitors with 0.5ms response time on the market, sporting some new panels, like this one

But you are looking at around $1k and you would need at least a rtx 2070 to drive to get close to 240fps or above at all times.
In which case, this tiny sexy aluminum case would not be suitable, as it does not offer enough ventilation.

The gtx 1660ti gpu combined with the 9400f cpu draw around 180w-200w power when maxed. Combined with the rest of the components, you are looking at 220-250w max which is the perfect efficiency spot for the 450w power supply and small enough for this case to be able to draw out the heat.

You might have to flip the fan to draw air in, instead of moving it out as there is no fan drawing air in and the power supply unit already pulls air out.
