Why would God NOT want humanity to have a conscience?
"The Knowledge of Good and Evil" = Discernment of Right and Wrong i.e. CONSCIENCE!

I want to show from Scripture that "the knowledge of good and evil" described in the Bible has nothing to do with personal experience of good and evil, but simply discernment of good and evil.

"The knowledge of good and evil," has a distinct meaning in the Old Testament. It refers to the ability to determine for one's self what is good and evil, what is helpful and harmful. In Genesis 3:5, 22 God has this ability and right. In 1 Kings 3:9 Solomon prays for it so he can rule well. In Deuteronomy 1:39 little children don't have it yet. In 2 Samuel 19:35 senile people have lost it (Note: it is translated "discern between good and evil," but when we look at the Hebrew word behind "discern", it is the very same word as used in Gen 3:5 to mean "knowing" [good and evil]. So, there is no difference between the two.)

So why would God curse humanity for wanting to have a conscience?

God has been described to us by theologians, High Priests and Prophets.
If One has a conscience, One will find God all by themselves.
You don't need a preacher and his Bullshit. :)

Re: Why would God NOT want humanity to have a conscience?
If We consider our collective hive mind to be God ."Conscious and Aware"

We would want all of us to Respect and Appreciate each other like good neighbours.

"Thou shall not Kill, Rape, Steal or Covet"…are Simple Moral principles to go by.

Traumatized or severely spoiled at an early age, a Psychopath would not understand these simple principles. They go about their activities without a Moral compass. They have the consciousness and conscious awareness of an Insect. Sadly,... a signifiant number of them have been in positions of Authority.

Being conscious and consciously aware can't be forced upon You.
You have to develop that for Yourself. :)

Re: Why would God NOT want humanity to have a conscience?
Simple matter of cause and effect. The cause: knowledge of good and evil. The effect: the human condition as it is today. Just think about it. It's really simple. Why are we embarrassed to be naked or to defecate in front of someone? Animals do it all the time. They have a spirit and are aware, but nothing is good or bad to them, so it makes no difference. It is really that simple. Lets break down the cause and effect a little. There is what I call the law of opposites. It states you can not have one with out the other, and any environment in which 2 opposites are introduced are subject to the extremes presented by the opposites. Here is an example. Day and nite. What would happen if for some reason it was continually day, or nite, for that matter? You would not know the difference. It would not be called day, or night, it would be just the way it is!It is the same with the knowledge of good and evil. Ever hear the phrase nothing bad ever happens, but thinking make it so? Because you believe it is bad, or good , it is! If you knew not the difference you would be in paradise.

God also is the one who sentenced them to death and hid the tree of life from them.

God sentenced humanity to death by barring the way to the tree of life.

God murders all humans, slowly, over their lifetimes.

Re: Why would God NOT want humanity to have a conscience?
You should only know and do GOOD.
It is the evil part that causes problems.
No need for a conscience if all you do is the right thing.
A conscience implies you do evil, thus you need something to remind you not to do evil.
Anyways, it's not up for US to discern, because then we TRY TO PLAY GOD, which is why Adam and Ever fell for Satan's lies in the first place: they equated themselves to God's level.
The moral of the story: do the right thing, a conscience isn't necessary, more like a last resort.

What a load of nonsenses to reconcile something you don’t understand.

Everyone has the capacity to never suffer and yet enjoy and sense good feeling.

The polarity argument is nothing more than a simplistic theory to a hard and complicated question.

Stagnation and a lack of appreciation of the goodness in ones life can lead to the negative things in life. As a reminder and wake up of how important it is to treasure and preserve the good and peaceful moments that slip into being taken for granted.

To say one needs the other is nonsense. They are reminders. Remember Unhappiness is nothing more than the hunger pains for change. Not a negative thing at all about a pang for change. It’s a guide to help you be the best you can be.

No, its deliberate bad advice by people who hate you! Don't defend yourself, ask for a beating, let yourself be exploited, don't fight, .... its emasculating, enslaving (literally! 'Slaves obey your masters!') opening us up for exploitation/subjugation/destruction. Its no coincidence Christianity first took over Europe, then Islam!
