Septic tanks and sewage systems can tap a lot of electricity.

Research was done by using microbes that break down waste which produce free electrons.

In nature that charge is immediately grounded. But in isolated systems that electron can be used.

Plus, the released methane can heat homes.

The end product can feed plants.

If every home had such waste treatment, we solve several issues.

Less pollution and more Earth friendly waste.

But consumer waste is way to high to ignore.

It's like needing more income despite spending on crap that is not needed. Sometimes saving is the better option. I believe we need to work on reducing electric waste first. Or else well simply use more energy and demand more.
