Old math: 10 miles x 10 miles = 100 square miles 100 miles x 100 miles = 10,000 square miles Soooo....1 ft x 1 ft = 10 square feet Actually it is a matter of semantics.... 100 miles x 100 miles = 100 miles square The Area contained in 100 miles square is equal to 10,000 square miles
