Protection against certain kinds of radioactive materials:

IODINE: KI (potassium iodide) cannot protect the body from radioactive elements other than radioactive iodine—if radioactive iodine is not present, taking KI is not protective and could cause harm. Table salt and foods rich in iodine do not contain enough iodine to block radioactive iodine from getting into your thyroid gland.

Iodine is a missing nutrient in our diets for sure. Iodine plays a key role in many bodily functions and is the key nutrient in thyroid health. Many other glands require iodine in sufficient, not FDA FDA, but sufficient I'm talking >1000%. The nefarious part about it lies in the location of the element on the periodic table of elements. Iodine is a halogen and what are the other halogens which the body will identify is iodine when iodine isnt present?

Nascent iodine for immediate entry into cells,

not real expensive, not real cheap

and idoral pills to start building up. CHEAP considering all iodine does for you.

most natural practitioners say 96% are woefully deficient. So you need a build up period, then after that 10mg per day or so is the Japanese average, and they get far less cancer than we do, and they tend to stay healthier into old age.

you can find iodine test kits to take to see how much of a build up you need (some need to take 50 mg for months before they reach a good level), but TOO MUCH iodine is bad for you.

myself, I just always wing it. take double doses for a month or so, then 10 mg per day, and sometimes forget to take it for a week or three, then take twice a day for a while,

no matter, I am sure I have a much healthier level than 96% of my fellow citizens.

I also almost never eat iodized, caked, baked, ruined "regular" table salt. I buy the 5lb containers of pink salt at Costco, and also pick up Mediterranean or Celtic sea salt from amazon, and also once in a while, Real Salt from the store.

fat mans is VERY expensive. bro was buying that so I worked out dosages; and it was quite expensive compared to Idoral on Amazon.

The nascent or atomine Iodine is good for immediate use, but then use the Idoral to build up and long term.

I was taking a couple of drops of nascent iodine a day for a couple of months and lost weight like crazy when I didn't want to. I went from 128 pounds (I am a woman- 5'10" and that is already low normal weight) to 114 and it took me a long time to gain it back after stopping.

Idoral-- a pill form of iodine is not stable, iodine evaporates, the lugol's drops are better

The best form and brand of iodine is Lugol's 5% iodine drops by J Crow.

You can no longer buy this on amazon.

Lugol's drops can be added in water and consumed, don't take with Vitamin C-- try this-- add some drops in water -- it will turn it light maroon, add in some C and instantly clear.

Iodine was mandated by law to be added to table salt as a way to increase IQ levels-- back when we didn't want a country of retards.

Yes-- without iodine a growing fetus will have lower IQ

Adding iodine to table salt was said to have increased the average IQ in the US 10 points

If you are older you probably are familiar with the word "Cretin" which used to be a way to describe an idiot. It comes from the Alps where the soils are very lacking in iodine having been washed away as in the midwest where the last ice age took the iodine out of the soils hence the term "Goiter Belt" iodizing salt fixed that.

"A person considered to be foolish or unintelligent. cre′tin·oid′ adj. cre′tin·ous adj. n 1. ... person with cretinism (formerly common in Alpine valleys because of insufficient iodine in the local diet), from ... changeling, half-wit, idiot, imbecile, moron, retard ... simpleton, simple - a person lacking intelligence or common sense ..."

Several books are available, one is "The Iodine Crises" by Lynn Farrow

The problem with iodized salt is that iodine evaporates. So, iodized table salt is not stable and will not fix an iodine problem.

All pregnant women should be taking iodine for the sake of their child's IQ

Iodine is essential for metabolism, and hormones-- breast cancer is linked to a lack of iodine as are thyroid problems.

Iodine can chelate toxic minerals

Iodine kills bacteria, fungus and virus and is great to have on hand to treat cuts, and skin problems.

The key is to build up slowly as if you are lacking your thyroid will grab onto it and swell--

Iodine is commonly added to farm animal feed for the health of the animals.

Iodine has none of the negative side effects antibiotics have.

Iodine is seriously hampered by fluoride and bromide as they lodge in the iodine receptors as they are both also halides.

Iodine tastes like chlorine, not hard to drink a few drops in water.

If you have "cherry angiomas--A cherry angioma is a mole-like skin growth made up of small blood vessels, or capillaries. It is the most common type of angioma.

Cherry angiomas are red moles and signal bromide poisoning. Bromide is in fire retardants and in most furniture padding.

They also removed iodine from bread making and replaced it with bromide--

If you start taking iodine do it slowly as the unpleasant side effects are bromide detox and you should also take the cofactor selenium

And I found this interesting-- Countries are known for their IQ, some are high, some are low.

These are the ones over 100 average IQ

Hong Kong and Singapore 108, South Korea 106, Japan and China 105, Taiwan 104, Italy 102, Iceland, Mongolia and Switzerland 101.

You could link that to a diet higher in iodine --

Remember Fluoride blocks iodine and think about this-- what areas in the world have naturally high levels of fluoride in the water and what areas of the world add Fluoride to their water.

Fluoridation is banned in China. Naturally high fluoride levels in water are a serious problem in China.

Due to naturally-occurring fluoride, both skeletal and dental fluorosis have been endemic in India in at least 20 states, including Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.[34] The maximum permissible limit of fluoride in drinking water in India is 1.2 mg/L,[35] and the government has been obligated to install fluoride removal plants of various technologies to reduce fluoride levels from industrial waste and mineral deposits.

It’s now understood that fluoride may play a role in the aluminum-Alzheimer’s connection.

When aluminum comes into contact with fluoride, it hitches a ride into the brain as aluminum fluoride, bypassing the blood-brain barrier.

The presence of aluminum fluoride in the brain has been linked to Alzheimer’s.

Fluoridated Drinking Water Doubles the Risk of Hypothyroidism
Fluoride, especially when added to drinking water, nearly doubles the risk of developing hypothyroidism. (8)

Fluoride binds with iodine receptors in the thyroid, displacing iodine.

And when there isn’t adequate iodine available, the thyroid can’t synthesize thyroid hormones. (9)

And that is bad news for your brain.

Brain fog, memory loss, lack of focus, depression, anxiety, and other cognitive and mental health issues are some of the most problematic side effects of thyroid disorders.

An Increase in Rates of ADHD Is Linked to Fluoride
Rates of ADHD skyrocketed about the same time that fluoridation of water supplies was on the rise in the United States.

Fluoride Is Found in Antidepressants and Causes Depression
If you are one of the millions of people taking Prozac, you may have noticed that the generic name for Prozac is fluoxetine.

It’s not a coincidence that the name sounds a lot like fluoride.

Some of the most commonly prescribed drugs contain significant amounts of fluoride, including antidepressants and anti-anxiety drugs.

OK....for anyone stillhere, think about this-- where do we add fluoride in the US? (Major Cities) where are the democrats located? Why do the farmer's and people living on well water in the country support Trump?

Places in the world like cities and countries with naturally high levels of fluoride are less likely to be creative thinkers and rebel. Easily influenced and controlled-- think about it--

And back to iodine-- it will detox that fluoride....

A recent study in The Lancet, one of the most prestigious and highly regarded medical journals, recommended that fluoride be classified as a developmental neurotoxin along with lead, mercury, arsenic, PCBs, and toluene.

The Ingestion of Fluoride Lowers IQ in Children
Harvard School of Public Health and China Medical University did a joint analysis of 27 studies on the effects of fluoride and found a strong correlation between fluoride and adverse effects on brain development.

To date, more than 50 human studies have linked fluoride to reduced IQ in both children and adults.

Fluoride Facilitates the Entry of Aluminum Into the Brain
In the 1970s, autopsies revealed that Alzheimer’s patients had higher than normal concentrations of neurotoxic aluminum in their brains.

It assures me that I'm getting my daily dose along with my regular diet which also has some in it but varies.
