Colorado Sheriff Refuses to Enforce Colorado Gun Confiscation Law

It just makes sense to ignore a law that is obviously unConstitutional. Why waste you resources defending your county against the Constitutional challenge? Colorado has turned into a shit-hole, due to the major population areas of the front range. Once you get away from the large cities, Coloradans are still good people. They don't like any of the socialist shit their state government id dumping on them. Weld County is largely rural, and mostly conservative. The have a large hispanic community, but even they are mostly conservative. These are the Mexicans that ran George Lopez out of town. They don't buy the liberal progressive bull-shit being pushed by their communist state house.

He's smart. He doesn't want to wage war on his own people. Or put his officers in harms way for unjust reasons.

These laws are too easily abused by disgruntled family members, enemies, etc. Putting police in harms way for petty grudges.

He will be replaced.

Any judge or law enforcement that tries this should be in jail and out of office immediately.

County Sheriff's are the first layer of organized militia, one primary duty is to protect the county from the feds.

Even if agreeing with this kind of legislation, this one is a bad law. It's the first of its kind where the accused must prove their innocence rather than the burden of proof being on the accuser. Will probably be rejected by a judge somewhere.

There are many counties and municipalities in Colorado that will not enforce this unconstitutional law, more to follow suit.

You're right, because I happen to live in one of Colorado's barely, conservative, rural county. This so called bill that was passed has caused the people in favor of to lose the foresight of what yet will happen (Complete confiscation = a liberal wet dream). No thanks to moronic voters along the front range that voted this "I-have-my-own-agenda" governor and his Marxist senate into state power. For what? An utopian society where those that believe in this idea will keep them safe out on the streets or in a restaurant? That's not freedom! That's control - bottom line.

Pueblo county is working on legislation to legally not enforce it.

Same with the unconstitutional ones passed here in WA State too. There is legislation to divide the state and create a new one, called Liberty State, going on here. There are lines being drawn.

Good . Why not ? The libtard mayors don’t enforce any laws when it comes to sanctuary cities and ice .. and also people allowed to shit on the side walks w no repurcussions .

It sounds like the county I grew up in and three others in NV are going to become a 2A sanctuary counties as well. I’ve known the new Elko County sheriff for a long time, he’s a great dude and an absolute beast.

So, the insane left in Boston wants for police to stop enforcing laws against breaking and entering, destruction of property, and shoplifting. They also want complete non-compliance with ICE.

...but elsewhere they're all for new laws against gun owners so that they can enforce anti-gun witch hunts? The agenda here should be clear to everybody. The insane left is against everything that made the country strong and great. They want to tear us down by any means.

Exactly! If leftists can just "refuse" to enforce existing laws against illegals, then they have no grounds for objection when people like this Sheriff just "refuse" to enforce their insanity.

I would love to see right wing judges putting a stop to every single thing the left tries to do until higher courts have to deal with the issue, just as leftist judges do to us!
