Sure its fake news. Go to Taiwan and see for yourself how many tons of gold they have when they fled China. Why do you think Taiwan is so rich? Ever been to Taiwan? Highly doubtful. No, their gold did not go to Brettonwoods. There was a limit to which even the allies would stoop to. They would have had to fight the Chinese Nationalists to take their gold. it is still there. Go see for yourself.
