"Europe" is a bunch of puppet regimes, dear cousin. If your country was occupied by a foreign military, you would not consider yourself independent and rightfully so. You would also not consider anything your own government has to say about this military presence as valid because they are propped up by a foreign power. We would love to opt out of NATO so that you can keep the money invested in our occupation. US forces leaving would make everybody happy, including us.
