How to survive being homeless ??? Any advice?

Don't know where you live, but there is usually a YMCA in towns, at least you can go there and pay to take a shower and clean up.

Go to an organization like Catholic Relief Services.
They are humane and will try to help you.

If you are ex mil go to the VA.

Head to a warm climate!

I worked nights as a bus mechanic.
Rode a bicycle.
Slept on the beach during the day.
Needless to say I was exhausted most of the time. But, it worked.

A Homeless Shelter.

If you don't do so already pray to God. Be honest with yourself and give up your scheming, dishonesty and every other evil bastard trait you may have. Believe with your heart and mind. If you accept God you wont be that way very long.

Not sure what city you are in, but most larger cities have places to help. 211 is United Way and they can get you numbers. Salvation Army has places even in smaller cities. They do have rules though. I was homeless in downtown Atlanta. Slept outside in a church parking lot across from the Capitol building there.. had places that gave out food every day. Spent most of my time just wondering around downtown and at the library. Was able to obtain a Starbucks coffee cup and obtained endless refills at west end mall and just worked crossword puzzles all day. There was a clothing closet we went to every other day and were allowed to shower and pick out 2 outfits...dressed in designer clothes for a whole month..there were dangers though, but the homeless tended to band together..especially on 9/11...we were all scared s***less we were going to be rounded up..scary times..that was during a time in my life when I didn't give a s*** though..somewhere along the line I grew up. Also some cities may still have a program called Traveller's Aid, if you are new to the area they will help with a hotel room, transportation, and job seeking...at least places had it 18 years ago..not sure about now. Before you go homeless, look up homeless resources in your area.
Salvation provides free clothing and supplies.
Check churches and food banks.
Apply for foodstamps and free healthcare.
If you can, buy a sleeping bag, pad, and tent.
Learn basic survival skills, such as tying rope and making a fire.
Try to find a stable place to sleep away from others.
Construction sites, forest lands, and trucker pit stops usually don't have people guarding them in an emergency sleep situation.
Flying a sign is a good last resort for cash.
It's all about survival. Work towards a goal and receive help.
I was homeless for 7 months and made it through snow and rain.

Apply to Greyhound Bus Lines, if you don't have any felonies you can get your CDL and they will put you up in a motel while you drive. Drive all the time and save money.

Or, look for a carrier (OTR trucking) with a training program.

when i was homeless i made a pretty nice underground house with fireplace i also had a hammock which made things easier. If you can keep warm all the better and countryside is better for free food

I called a buddy at CR England. He said, there are at least a dozen national carriers that will help you get your CDL. You can start within a week if you have no felonies, no drugs.

You can be on the road with another driver and when you get your CDL, you can go solo. You'll have a builtin apartment, a decent paying job, and the ability to save.

Save up for a couple of years, find you a little spot, and buy you a little home for cash or whatever you want. It's a lonely life, but it's a good bail out for people unafraid of work.

I know that you are down and out but is there any way you could get an old shitty mini van to live in? Be covert, blend in. Park and sleep in Casino lots, airport lots, large factory lots that run 24 hours. From there you have to get a job and pull yourself up.

In NY you go to the local DSS office. They will find you emergency shelters and addresses meds.

Bosses don't need 24/7 access to their employees life.

There's a thing called a schedule, use it.

not only would a boss need to call someone to inform them that they got the job in the first place.
most bosses like to have a way of contact in case of schedule changes or emergencies

No advice because I have not had to endure that yet, but praying for you.

That's what regular phones are for. Outside getting the job there isn't a thing in the world that a pay phone and a schedule couldn't solve for this person.

and im pretty sure if you ever gave your boss a pay phone number to get a hold of you he would have some serious questions.
besides most pay phones are call out only.
and most cities don't even have pay phones anymore. they are practically obsolete
