New York parents are holding 'measles parties' to intentionally infect their children instead of getting vaccinated

That's the way it was done back when I was young, when autism was not an epidemic.

Exactly! My mom did this with me and chicken pox. No one had autism when I was growing up.

Once upon a time there was this so called Top neurologist in his field, who treated patients that refused convential treatment like crap. He obviously did this because he wanted his kickbacks from the drug companies. For him, seeing patients who refused medication was not beneficial to him. Anyway long story short during a very heated argument with one of his patients, he let it slip out that measles triggered an autoimmune condition.

It went like this...

Patient : I don't care about the standard treatment here, my goal is to fix the cause not just treat the symptoms and if I think the cause is possibly x then I want to treat this from that perspective.

Doctor : X is not the cause. Measles maybe, but not X

Patient : measles?

Doctor : yeah... measles triggers the immune system ( puts his head down )

Patient: How?

Doctor : Thats not the point here, I have another appointment now, do you want medication or not?

Patient : no

Doctor : ok then we are done here

Indeed! If people want to skip some vaccines, fine. But there are some that you really need, like polio, tuberculosis, small pox, etc. I have a cousin who was not vaccinated and got polio. He was lucky he lived but has a permanent limp and pain in his leg if he does too much, which isn't too much for the average person. I was vaccinated and they worked and I have a high IQ (that's for the low IQ's here that say vaccines cause that). However, I don't believe in giving so many vaccines at once like they do now. I would refuse that and have them spaced out. There are also some unnecessary ones. And there is too much mercury in some. But for the most part, they save lives and have been for decades now. In any case, I have seen first hand three people who had their lives ruined by a disease they got that would have been prevented by a vaccine. I am all for individual rights, but not if it negatively affects others. You have to weigh it all. You are right when you say they think they know more than people who have spent their whole life studying disease.

Why not just go on with life?

No one had autism when I was growing up. No one. And we were all vaccinate. Everybody was vaccinated and no autism.

Why would Autism Speaks lie about what causes it? They wouldn't.
