His only charge is skipping bail.

Will probably only get a year or two suspended sentence for that I would think.

Let's see if the US ask for him, then it will take 5 years of litigation. The UK is unlikely to hand him over because of the threats that have been made against him by the US.

His problem is they are unlikely to give him bail again in case he heads to another embassy.

Hopefully they have a dead hand switch to reveal a lot more compromising information...

"Julian Assange did not "walk out of the embassy". The Ecuadorian ambassador invited British police into the embassy and he was immediately arrested...

Pretty much. I can't see him being jailed for skipping bail, especially if he pleads guilty and doesn't do anything dumb.

If the US want him then let them ask, but like you say, they would have to produce an actual indictment, and a guarantee of his safety.

I sure hope he releases the encryption keys to his insurance files he put out a few years ago.

There is a sealed extradition warrant for his extradition to the United States.

Seems unlikely, at the moment. If he were actually extradited to the US, then maybe.

Yeah, but that would need to be unsealed to actually do anything, because I can't see a British court, or his lawyers, going along with it based on something like that.
