But at the same time i would love to know if younger people know as much as we did back when Beatles, Beach boys, Stones Led Zep et al were around. I dont think ANY GROUP today comes even CLOSE to the notoriety bands had decades ago. And if so, What the hell happened to all the musical talent?? seriously Roman Stone |

So if thats the case. What the hell happened? Something in the water. contrails? It started in the 80's with MIDI and quantization (perfect click beats for musicians to play off of while recording). Sure, computers brought some great things to music, but over time they have nearly stripped all of the humanity/soul right out of it. In the 90's the compression wars stripped away all the dynamics. Then comes the 00's and AutoTune to rip out the last vestigal humanity and MP3 files to degrade audio quality completely and here we are. It's all shit now. Another thing is that music itself is no longer appreciated in and of itself. It's all about the singers (most of whom blow) and their 'brand'. Korn was probably the last truly innovative band to really shake things up musically and that was what? 30 years ago? Jesus. I did it. I did it on purpose. And I'll do it again. |

It is something beyond awful to listen to. I mean it will just make you want to pull your hair out. Autotuned, predictable beat, and the most braindead lyrics you can imagine. Not even interesting pop jingles. At least Katy Perry and Taylor Swift had some interesting pop jingles. These aren't even at that level. It sounds like something a mildly retarded person would like. So, you tell me if music is worse today. The big hook is, can't nobody tell me nothing, can't nobody tell me nothing, can't nobody tell me nothing, can't nobody tell me nothing. The song has absolutely no tune, and we are all thankful it's only 3 minutes. The people who buy music today must be on some hard drugs. The drunkest, worst Elvis who ever staggered his way through a concert was 100 times better than this. This isn't even garage band level local scene material.
