Hope that contract is short. Place should be going all the way to full on sh*t within a year.....get out.

It was ALWAYS like that too....its just shoulder to shoulder, 10 times more dumb trashy bastar* now and blabbling spanish, one of the most irritating languages there is to have to listen to.

You know something is bullsheet because they have 100 times more than even can be "workers" and they are all on total life support - its some total scam.

In 1985 I was told by a man who made his money doing promo products for hollyweird that CA was over. He was moving to NZ.

But this is happening on all the coasts in the u.s., especially cities where there are social services.

Something changed in the eighties.

Re: The hopeless feeling I get living in California. Here is my story of living here.
Last time I was in Orange County was 2015.
I saw so many women asking for money. They were sitting or standing in parking lot entrance/exits with signs declaring their need for help. I was in a kind of shock at first.

When I stopped for gas there was usually a few panhandlers with children with them or waiting in the car for their mom. Or dad.
I think they were living in the cars or getting money for motel rooms.

You couldn't sit at an outside bench or table and have coffee without somebody coming around asking for change. What was most different was all the foot traffic.
I mean, it's always a traffic jam with cars but there are thousands of people on the streets, day and night. All colors, cultures and lots and lots of kids and babies walking on the streets. Everywhere.

I won't go back. I can't go back there. I WAS BORN there and most of my relatives live there.
It's not my California. It used to be a good place to live.
That is gone.

The last time I went, it hurt to see it.

I live in probably the most conservative and culturally homogeneously white state, Utah. One day I visited a Walmart in the most upscale, whitest of white communities and while shopping I suddenly realized I was the only white person there.

Re: The hopeless feeling I get living in California. Here is my story of living here.
Just, whatever you do, wherever you move to, Please don't bring your fucking insane california politics with you. So many of these assholes are moving to Vegas, filling up the valley, electing democrats. Taxes are going up, the homeless are multiplying like flies. And steadily moving up I-15 into Utah, ruining good Mormon country. Seriously, californians are a cancerous infection, just like New Yorkers.

I've lived in San Diego for about 3 months now. I never wanted to move here, but I got laid off in August and was out of work for a few months and took the job offer I got here as it was by far the best opportunity I had gotten offered to me. I sucked it up and moved out here.

I pay out the arse for apartment rent. You aren't getting anything nice for less than $2000 a month. I pay $2700. My apartment garage is full of exotic luxury cars like Ferraris and Lambos but as soon as I leave my parking garage or apartment I am greeted with a sidewalk full of homeless people sleeping in tents, sleeping bags, and tarps. Drug addicts, homeless, and panhandlers as far as the eye can see. Streets smell like piss. You see human shite everywhere and needles. All they do is fight, litter and make a huge mess. I would never walk outside at night. It's funny how liberals whine about income inequality yet California is the most unequal state I have seen.

It is so crowded everywhere. You have to drive quite a far ways out just to get some space. Even going to the grocery store at 8am on a Saturday you will run into crowds. Traffic is constantly a problem, at least I live close enough to work where I don't have to deal with it every day. But even on weekends there is traffic. I drove up to Anaheim last week to go to an Angels game and it took me damn near 3 hours to go the 85 miles to get there. There's just too many people here.

You see the effects of open border policies and unfettered immigration every day. Many places you go you aren't going to see many white people. I went to the mall today to buy some clothes and I think I was the only white person there. I saw one other white person in the long checkout line at Banana Republic. The line was 40+ people deep at 10am. You have to wonder how long it is in the afternoon. Every cashier was speaking spanish to the spanish customers. Not only are these places filled with hispanics, but they have to take their entire extended family and 10 kids along with them which makes it even more crowded. Strollers everywhere and kids running around everywhere and hispanic moms with baby bumps and no ring on their finger. I wonder who is paying for this. Some may call this racist but I feel like I am living in another country. If you dropped me at this mall with a blindfold I would have thought I was in Mexico.

You can't go anywhere without someone asking you for money. There are signs infront of stores warning you that you may be approached by panhandlers inside. I've been panhandled at the most random places. Not just at intersections and freeway exit ramps. But I have people come up to me in the grocery store asking for $0.50 so they can buy a bag of chips, or approach me in the parking lot of a grocery store or Target or Wal Mart asking for money. When I go to my gym the parking lot is down the street so I am almost always hit up for money when walking to and from the gym. I drive a convertible and when my top is down for some reason beggars think this gives them free reign to come up to me and ask for money.

After the mall I go to put gas in my tank at $4.40 a gallon. Thanks to a ridiculous state gas tax and regulations that drive up gas prices here far north of most other places in the US, it costs $44 to put 10 gallons of gas in my tank. But wait, there's more! 3 times I have been approached when filling up my tank by panhandlers. But they aren't asking for money - they have gas cans with them and ask me to put gas in their gas cans. frick these people.

Everything is more expensive here. And taxes. Sales tax is high, my income tax is ridiculous. Gas tax I already mentioned, and they want to make it higher. Taxes for shite like plastic bags at the grocery store. And I feel like I get nothing in return for these exorbitant taxes I have to pay.

Living near the beach is fine I guess, if you like dealing with the ridiculous beach traffic, lack of parking, littered beaches and massive crowds in order to be able to go to the beach.

Politics is why I feel hopeless. There is no way to change any of this shite. The state is so far left that democrats have unopposed rule. Taxes will only go one direction, up. The undesirable elements will continue to be catered to, the tax dollars will continue to go to worthless shit, and more and more dumb legislation will be passed. Nothing but more democrats will be elected statewide that will continue to push more left wing agendas. My vote is worthless and is probably cancelled out by illegals voting anyway. And I live in one of the supposed more conservative areas of the state. You have to wonder how bad it is in SF or LA.

I am going to put my time in here, ride out my contract, and then get the hell out of here. It's not going to get any better. And despite what people say, living here really isn't that great. Different strokes for different folks I guess, but it's not worth the high taxes, high cost of living, constant crowds, homeless infestation, panhandlers and beggars everywhere, constant traffic, and far left agenda politics.

Live in the Midwest, eatern Ohio. i recently visited Northern California, (humboldt cty) what a hole. even a little crap town like Eureka was just a sea of vagrants. Stopped by the local mall, 20-30 vagrants at every door. Everyone I knew was spending over half their take home pay to not live near the worst of it. WHY? I live like a king in the midwest. Some people will do anything to not live in their hometown I guess.

Re: The hopeless feeling I get living in California. Here is my story of living here.
Not necessarily because of the lack of a personal relationship/sex, but because of the lack of friends/communication with people that come with the woman. Women are never alone. They always have a large circle of friends and family that come along with them that you meet through them. Women come with sisters, mothers, aunts, cousins, female friends, male friends, gay friends, 950 Facebook friends. The average woman receives 25 phone calls a day and 93 text messages. Then these people become friends with you and invite you to things. You go their houses for barbecues and music in the summer.

Once you don't have a woman all of the social perks that come with the woman disappear too. That's the hardest part.

You say

"oh learn to love being alone and stop whining"

"you don't need anyone, enjoy your solitude and your alone time be glad you don't have any stress that those people in relationships have"

Easy for you to say when you have about 50 friends you can call up and go fishing or hiking with. You met most of them through your wife. There's only so many books i can read, exercise i can do, walks i can go on with my dog. Having a woman around brings other perks besides sex. That's what you're not getting.

I moved out overcrowded filthy LA, Orange county to San Diego, sadly to see homeless people everywhere. I give them foods, they think I poison them, they only want money.

Into frugal living, but found out I paid sales tax over $2,000 last year, tired of California, where should I go?

I was born in Southern California. My mother and father were too. My wife was born in California. Her father was born in Southern California.

We do not live there and cannot live there. We were displaced.

In California's defense, they tried in the 90s to save their state with prop 187.

Some liberal judge somewhere ruled against the people, and that was it. The end.

I see the rest of America following suit.

I visited Los Angeles as a teen in 1973. I thought it was a sucked even as a 16 yo back then. You had to take a freeway everywhere you went. We stayed with relatives in Buena Park. It was still mostly new then. But I hated how every house had a 6ft wall around them. Every house came with a pool then. They had a big earthquake (Northridge) when we were there and I couldn't wait to go back home.

They had drug devil cult leaders doing "free concerts" at places like Berverly Hills HS back then. It was a sick shithole even then.

Never went back.

When we lived in California we lived in Temecula and the hubs would drive every day to Carlsbad (talk about speeding tickets LOL) We had a beautiful house on top of a hill with no one behind us and it was good mostly. Biggest regret was selling the house a year to soon, we could have tripled our money...tripled

We are moving out of here in a few more years, maybe less. Every word you said is true. I live in the Inland Empire (somewhere). Our teens can't find work, bilingual is "preferred". 3 interviews for a fast food restaurant, experience and resume needed. My significant other and I were in a Chipotle recently. The homeless drug addicts are getting bolder. Walked up to EVERY patron inside asking for money. Illegals hanging out at Home Depot undercutting licensed contractors, and yes TAKING JOBS AMERICANS want. Gangs leaving their imprint everywhere, be it a random bizarre murder or suddenly you discover one of your own loved ones are now doing methamphetamine. Yeah. Saw gas here today 3.99 9/10. And the higher grade gas is over 4.00. People out driving, ALL DAMNED DAY, not sure where they all came from the past 2 years. My significant other works 1.5 hours away, and sometimes it takes him 3 hours to get home. Last week we went out to the poppy reserve. Sat in traffic there too. People all over the place. Everywhere. My God. It IS depressing. Such a beautiful state geographically. So many beautiful places to visit. But yes, we are signing off in California real soon. Headed East somewhere.

I left 8 years ago and never looked back.

I live in a mountain community in Arizona, 5000 ft. above sea level.

There is barely anything to complain about really.

I do not miss the traffic or people.

I'm grateful I made it out. Nothing was good down there anymore.

I think most people that live there are delusional.
Meaning they think it can get better....but it's not going to.

I prayed about it before I left. And I pray every night and thank GOD I am where I'm at.
