Re: The hopeless feeling I get living in California. Here is my story of living here.
We are moving out of here in a few more years, maybe less. Every word you said is true. I live in the Inland Empire (somewhere). Our teens can't find work, bilingual is "preferred". 3 interviews for a fast food restaurant, experience and resume needed. My significant other and I were in a Chipotle recently. The homeless drug addicts are getting bolder. Walked up to EVERY patron inside asking for money. Illegals hanging out at Home Depot undercutting licensed contractors, and yes TAKING JOBS AMERICANS want. Gangs leaving their imprint everywhere, be it a random bizarre murder or suddenly you discover one of your own loved ones are now doing methamphetamine. Yeah. Saw gas here today 3.99 9/10. And the higher grade gas is over 4.00. People out driving, ALL DAMNED DAY, not sure where they all came from the past 2 years. My significant other works 1.5 hours away, and sometimes it takes him 3 hours to get home. Last week we went out to the poppy reserve. Sat in traffic there too. People all over the place. Everywhere. My God. It IS depressing. Such a beautiful state geographically. So many beautiful places to visit. But yes, we are signing off in California real soon. Headed East somewhere.

Why would you put up with panhandlers in stores? Why would management not remove them? Do people not complain? I complain to a store if I get hit up in their parking lot, much less inside.
 Quoting: HarshingMyMellow

I KNOW, right! It happens so often, it's "normal" now. I'm a pretty small person, and they will approach me in parking lots at night, broad daylight, wherever. I told my husband I no longer will go anywhere without him. When you don't give them $ they curse at you. They don't want food. They want money for drugs.

I know a guy who married some La Raza chick. They got divorced.

He told me that I wouldn't believe the plans they have for the USA. He said they are the most racist people on the face of the earth and they want to take CA and TX.

I grew up in a town that increased with a Hispanic population so fast that the whole town changed. They get the jobs that want people who speak bilingual which is just about every mid to lower level job. Once they are in they treat white and black workers like total crap. I know a blonde lady who has worked at several different places and each time she is treated horribly.

The democrats are importing hatred and constantly pushing an anti-white people narrative.

I'm afraid our nation is already lost.

Oh you guys this is all so sad and scary. I am up on the coast of the Pacific Northwest. I'm near Bellingham Washington. It is known to be one of the most extreme examples of high cost of living and low wages. Someone told me that it is the 8th most expensive city in the United States. This happened in the last ten years, maybe in the last 5 years or even less.

When you walk down the street it is so depressing. The better weather in the last couple of weeks have brought the homeless back - it's just starting. We had kind of a cold winter so we had a little break. I'm thinking this year is going to be the worst ever. Two years ago I was ready to flee it was so scary with crazy people having meltdowns everywhere you went.

All I see is really down and out people, it's so sad. Nothing is uplifting or inspiring. Everything just makes you want to hide inside. Sometimes I don't even want to look out the window because all it is is people digging through the trash and pissing by the dumpsters. It wasn't like this when I moved here.

I swear up here near the Canadian border is the only last place on the entire West Coast that isn't completely ruined yet. But it's happening fast.

Yeah I remember reading in like 2005 about how all these nice California towns that were 85% white, peaceful, productive places, had their demographics change so fast that they went from 85% white to 85% Hispanic in like 5 years.

For a long time I was afraid that would happen up here on the Northwest coast of Washington, but now I think that whatever does happen it will probably be even worse?

Great post. I live in L.A. and will until my parents pass and then I'm gone. It's exactly as you say. And there's a hatred for white men that mostly goes unsaid but it really couldn't be any more clear. For years when I'd visit other parts of the country I'd be amazed at how friendly everyone seemed. Only to realize later friendly is normal in the real world, but not in L.A. Maybe it's too late to take back CA. Maybe THE WALL should be along the north easterly border of CA.

I live in the high desert of So Cal. Oddly when I go to the coffee shop every morning the Spanish show a lot of courtesy. They hold doors and part the sea as if I was Moses. I am white and middle aged now and don't take any shit from anyone and I must look pissed off before my morning cup of Joe.

I figure they are all illegal and working under the table. Maybe I look like a cop? Never thought of that.

But people are setting up tents and trying to build half ass sheds in the middle of the desert out here. I have never seen it this bad. I have KEEP OUT signs all over my fenced in property. Dogs too. It's getting bad. Nice story OP.

One good thing about California here in the high desert. Your property tax is based on what you purchased your home for. So if you bought it cheap ....the taxes are cheap. No fucking asshole taxman comes knocking on your door to do a reassessment ....like my sister in New England. Those people are fucked over there. If the state needs more tax revenue they just tell you your house is worth 50K more and multiply that by 2% and they bill you $1,000 more a year. It's total bullshit and nobody protests about it.

Young people today are screwed. Learn a trade and work on your own. Buy a truck. Keep to yourself. Don't tell people shit. Earn.

I love so cal but as stated, it's turned into a liberal shithole....

I live in WA, somewhere between freeattle and everett and it is getting worse every year. So bad in fact, I am starting to feel like it's time to leave my beloved neighborhood, rent out my house and move somewhere better. Question is where the fuck to go? Eastern WA.? Blazing hot summers and 6 months of winter? No thanks. Idaho? Montana? Deep south? Everywhere I look I see it's less expensive and less crime, illegals and generally better quality of life but these places aren't appealing to me in the least

I've built a comfortable life for me and my family here and I'm absolutely sick at the thought of leaving....

If you live in San Bernardino like me your property tax will most likely increase by $157.56 because the assholes in San Bernadino dreamed up a property tax scam to pay the fire fighters that nobody will ever use. That's a HUGE increase for me in the cheap high desert. We have a law suit going....some firm in Johnson Valley....but I haven't heard any updates recently. The balls on these firemen.

Ironic.. i read a few years ago that San Diego was one of the BEST places to retire to, thanks to the weather and other things. Now i see how things have changed.

The leftists try to say that illegals just want to come here to work and do the work that citizens wont. Sounds like this is not true - but panhandling and crime and sitting around loitering is what they do.

I hope you can get out as soon as possible without harm to you. You will learn street smarts and how to survive, thats for sure.

Everyone says go to TX but now the liberals are moving there too and im afraid TX will be just as bad not too long for now :(

Re: The hopeless feeling I get living in California. Here is my story of living here.
Just, whatever you do, wherever you move to, Please don't bring your fucking insane california politics with you. So many of these assholes are moving to Vegas, filling up the valley, electing democrats. Taxes are going up, the homeless are multiplying like flies. And steadily moving up I-15 into Utah, ruining good Mormon country. Seriously, californians are a cancerous infection, just like New Yorkers.

I've lived in San Diego for about 3 months now. I never wanted to move here, but I got laid off in August and was out of work for a few months and took the job offer I got here as it was by far the best opportunity I had gotten offered to me. I sucked it up and moved out here.

I pay out the arse for apartment rent. You aren't getting anything nice for less than $2000 a month. I pay $2700. My apartment garage is full of exotic luxury cars like Ferraris and Lambos but as soon as I leave my parking garage or apartment I am greeted with a sidewalk full of homeless people sleeping in tents, sleeping bags, and tarps. Drug addicts, homeless, and panhandlers as far as the eye can see. Streets smell like piss. You see human shite everywhere and needles. All they do is fight, litter and make a huge mess. I would never walk outside at night. It's funny how liberals whine about income inequality yet California is the most unequal state I have seen.

It is so crowded everywhere. You have to drive quite a far ways out just to get some space. Even going to the grocery store at 8am on a Saturday you will run into crowds. Traffic is constantly a problem, at least I live close enough to work where I don't have to deal with it every day. But even on weekends there is traffic. I drove up to Anaheim last week to go to an Angels game and it took me damn near 3 hours to go the 85 miles to get there. There's just too many people here.

You see the effects of open border policies and unfettered immigration every day. Many places you go you aren't going to see many white people. I went to the mall today to buy some clothes and I think I was the only white person there. I saw one other white person in the long checkout line at Banana Republic. The line was 40+ people deep at 10am. You have to wonder how long it is in the afternoon. Every cashier was speaking spanish to the spanish customers. Not only are these places filled with hispanics, but they have to take their entire extended family and 10 kids along with them which makes it even more crowded. Strollers everywhere and kids running around everywhere and hispanic moms with baby bumps and no ring on their finger. I wonder who is paying for this. Some may call this racist but I feel like I am living in another country. If you dropped me at this mall with a blindfold I would have thought I was in Mexico.

You can't go anywhere without someone asking you for money. There are signs infront of stores warning you that you may be approached by panhandlers inside. I've been panhandled at the most random places. Not just at intersections and freeway exit ramps. But I have people come up to me in the grocery store asking for $0.50 so they can buy a bag of chips, or approach me in the parking lot of a grocery store or Target or Wal Mart asking for money. When I go to my gym the parking lot is down the street so I am almost always hit up for money when walking to and from the gym. I drive a convertible and when my top is down for some reason beggars think this gives them free reign to come up to me and ask for money.

After the mall I go to put gas in my tank at $4.40 a gallon. Thanks to a ridiculous state gas tax and regulations that drive up gas prices here far north of most other places in the US, it costs $44 to put 10 gallons of gas in my tank. But wait, there's more! 3 times I have been approached when filling up my tank by panhandlers. But they aren't asking for money - they have gas cans with them and ask me to put gas in their gas cans. frick these people.

Everything is more expensive here. And taxes. Sales tax is high, my income tax is ridiculous. Gas tax I already mentioned, and they want to make it higher. Taxes for shite like plastic bags at the grocery store. And I feel like I get nothing in return for these exorbitant taxes I have to pay.

Living near the beach is fine I guess, if you like dealing with the ridiculous beach traffic, lack of parking, littered beaches and massive crowds in order to be able to go to the beach.

Politics is why I feel hopeless. There is no way to change any of this shite. The state is so far left that democrats have unopposed rule. Taxes will only go one direction, up. The undesirable elements will continue to be catered to, the tax dollars will continue to go to worthless shit, and more and more dumb legislation will be passed. Nothing but more democrats will be elected statewide that will continue to push more left wing agendas. My vote is worthless and is probably cancelled out by illegals voting anyway. And I live in one of the supposed more conservative areas of the state. You have to wonder how bad it is in SF or LA.

I am going to put my time in here, ride out my contract, and then get the hell out of here. It's not going to get any better. And despite what people say, living here really isn't that great. Different strokes for different folks I guess, but it's not worth the high taxes, high cost of living, constant crowds, homeless infestation, panhandlers and beggars everywhere, constant traffic, and far left agenda politics.

Sometimes I don't even want to look out the window because all it is is people digging through the trash and pissing by the dumpsters. It wasn't like this when I moved here.

I swear up here near the Canadian border is the only last place on the entire West Coast that isn't completely ruined yet. But it's happening fast.

As a realtor I’ll tell you, lots of gays moving to Bellingham. I call it Lezbo town. Yeah, it used to be great. Now not so much. Liberal politics ruined it.

I fully understand and I can 100% relate to your pain of being in an overpopulated mess as I too live in a big city.

I don't know how I'm going to get out of here at this point. It would be so much easier if I was American.

I feel all the things you feel and it sucks the soul, drive, motivation, passion, and life-force right out of you. You forget how life once was and all you know is how it is now.

If you can afford it, get out. Do yourself a favour and get out while you are riding high, because if you wait, it will be too late.

Good luck

funny how the California Dream that started in the 1960's is still alive. The masses are usually 20-75 years in the past, when it comes to reality.

I was in Anaheim back in the 80's, had a Metal band there. I worked at The Spaghetti Station....I left when the Mexican gangs started popping up.
