Not sure why she says that. For strategic reasons? For sentimental reasons? Out of nostalgia for when she was a teenager? For the reason of her starting off in life more foolish and liberal, as many people regrettably and originally are?

But now, as she has grown older and wiser, she feels increasingly politically, socially conservative? More sane, honest and humane?

This country has to become increasingly into the identity politics of focusing on whether people are sociopolitical liberals or sociopolitical conservatives.

As for today's self-described moderates or centrists? They need to be reminded that since the mid-point of the sociopolitical spectrum has shifted left over the past decades, many of them are actually closeted liberals. They need to be honest about themselves.

Forget all the bullshit of race, gender, ethnicity, nationality, sexuality. The main identifier now needs to be: Are you liberal or conservative?

It seems that the new tactic of the Democratic party is to have democrats that are 'Anti-Democratic Party'.
In doing so, they are free to expose the hypocrisy of the Dems, appealing to those in the middle, yet they remain Democrats - appealing to the Democratic base.

AOC, Omar, Talib, and this one now all seem to be attacking the Democratic establishment - but refuse to "walk away".
