It probably seems like that the first couple of times, but once you get the hang of it, you can actually move thru the 7 steps fairly quickly. In any event, it's not a race. The whole process is designed to promote deep relaxation.

7th STEP

Now, KEEP YOUR LEFT HAND fingers on your pubic bone and move your RIGHT hand to your tailbone. The easiest way to do this is to rotate your RIGHT wrist so that the TOPS of your fingers are pressing the tailbone area. Keep your mouth slightly open.

After 1 to 2 minutes you’ll experience an involuntary sigh or yawn. When that happens you have completed the session and can begin again if you’d like.


This completes the Jin Shin Jyutsu self help modality called: MAIN CENTRAL.

It’s a great exercise for clearing the mind, but ultimately it’s a bunch of magic tricks. The purpose of the fingers and movement is to keep your mind attached to that, rather than drifting away. Keeping your mind attached to something simple allows your brain to wind down. Then the process of loosening your jaw will naturally help you yawn with the combination of relaxed mind.

It works, but in the end the goal is to just clear the mind.

I personally have been training myself to legit block my brain, total nothingness, while also deep soothing breaths.

I deal with an overly active brain to the point I’m in near constant anxiety and sleep is a prize, and these techniques definitely do help, you just need to get to the level in which you can truly numb your mind. It’s not easy for all of us unfortunately.

On a side note, Jesus taught me how to reduce all tension in my body by doing shoulder scan and when I find tension just drop my shoulders. That has been the one that worked for me to relieve all tension in my body. I still practice it after 5 years, the world is stressful.

1 - Look at a person directly - make sure they are looking at you

2- Force a Yawn

3 - within a minute- the other person will yawn

I'm going to have to try this again. I cannot get my jaw to relax.

Of course, it's basically been in a spasm for a year after TMJ set in and getting knocked by a big Holstein bull calf that knocked a tooth out as well.

I did step one for 5 minutes and no yawn and couldn't get my jaw to relax. Grr.
Things are bad enough, there is no need to make anything up.

I will definitively try this, and I hope it will help me at night when trying to fall asleep.

In daytime I try to connect with nature through walks in the woods. It makes me feel connected to our life essence, which is to be reflected as well in the plants and in the animals.

That is basically relaxing, as I feel not judged, I am connected essence, and I judge not.
I experience nature and learn from its beauty.
To me that is Love.

There´s a vid about our chi and how it can be used in an experiment.
It worked for me as I copied it.
Then I lost faith (in myself, as I tried to debunk it)
and I couldn´t do it anymore.
Your info reminds me taking up these things again.

For sleep, I recommend doing this Jin Shin Jyutsu do-it-yourself exercise (original post). I know that sleep can be tricky though, especially for people with active minds.

One other thing that sometimes works for me on those nights when it's hard to fall asleep is CBD/hash oil.
