i have a way easier technique for relaxing someone & making them yawn

1 - Look at a person directly - make sure they are looking at you

2- Force a Yawn

3 - within a minute- the other person will yawn

I'm going to have to try this again. I cannot get my jaw to relax.

Of course, it's basically been in a spasm for a year after TMJ set in and getting knocked by a big Holstein bull calf that knocked a tooth out as well.

I did step one for 5 minutes and no yawn and couldn't get my jaw to relax. Grr.

I would say this: if you have the time and the inclination, do the 7 steps once or twice a day for a few weeks, even if you don't have the yawn reaction. If it's more comfortable keeping your mouth closed, then just breathe through your nose. After a few minutes you may notice a slight sigh. This will be an indication that the energy is moving in a positive way and is an indicator, just like the yawns, that you can move to the next step.

I can totally feel your pain. My view is that there are things going on behind the scenes that, when it becomes public, will usher in a whole new world of fairness, true justice, and transparency. Until then, I agree, this shit seems like it's never going to end.

Meanwhile, Jin Shin Jyutsu can at least help to cut the edge and energetically help our bodies deal with the ongoing stress.

Add 200 more steps and accompanying philosophy and start your own religion.

On a side note, Jesus taught me how to reduce all tension in my body by doing shoulder scan and when I find tension just drop my shoulders. That has been the one that worked for me to relieve all tension in my body. I still practice it after 5 years, the world is stressful.

If you do these exercises laying down, find a pillow or two to support you arms.

The most important thing is this: make sure you're as comfortable as possible as you're holding the 7 different arm positions.

Every now and then i get atrial fibrillation. I find that Jin Shin Jyutsu helps to decrease the intensity of those episodes.

Not sure about this but i don't think Jin Shin Jyutsu is very widespread in Japan. Not that JSJ would necessarily turn with someone that was suicidal but, at the very least, it cause the body to relax a bit and as i said above, if you can get the body to relax, you can as a result of that stimulate the body's recuperative powers.

Jin Shin Jyutsu was rediscovered by Master Jiro Murai early in the 20th century. His student, Mary Burmeister, brought the Art from Japan to America in the 1950's.
