I'm going to have to try this again. I cannot get my jaw to relax.

Of course, it's basically been in a spasm for a year after TMJ set in and getting knocked by a big Holstein bull calf that knocked a tooth out as well.

I did step one for 5 minutes and no yawn and couldn't get my jaw to relax. Grr.

Wow. You're the first person to say that. Sounds like you sustained some fairly significant head trauma. I would say this: if you have the time and the inclination, do the 7 steps once or twice a day for a few weeks, even if you don't have the yawn reaction. If it's more comfortable keeping your mouth closed, then just breathe through your nose. After a few minutes you may notice a slight sigh. This will be an indication that the energy is moving in a positive way and is an indicator, just like the yawns, that you can move to the next step.
