Experiment - if anyone of you drive past a yellow yield sign - can you take a picture and post it in this thread?

Thanks!

In USA..the yield sign has not been yellow since 1972!!

Dudes..where have you been all that time? Under a rock?
 Quoting: JADR+

No freaking way. Not like I was paying a ton of attention to all the yield signs, but I only recall seeing red and white ones beginning in the late 90's. And there are still yellow yield signs out there. I'm going to have to go find one.

Yellow in America.

No. White with black letters.

But my first answer was yellow then I recalled the one I most often see.

None of them are yellow. But yellow means caution and when you choose to cross a yellow light you yield to other drivers. If you see some you don’t cross yellow.

That's screwed up. I thought they were always yellow. Guess I've been driving and just figured it was a no brainer to yield and didn't pay attention to the color of the signs. News to me.

I remember yellow with black letters, but after the international signage started coming out, I ignore most signs that show figures or other symbols. Not being international, nor a city person, I have no idea what most of them mean, so just ignore them now and do what is logical when driving.

I have to say - If there was anything to convince me that we all live in our own private universes/time lines - it would be this thread!

I did not expect that level of uncertainty regarding a basic standard road sign.

I mean common - this is not a spelling issue, or a pop culture quote, this is down simple unmistakable colors.

Either yellow
or Red

Ask any other other nation, and the majority will agree on the colors of their rod signs.

This is real simple, JADR... the old ones were yellow, the new ones are red & white, just like it says in that wiki link that I posted earlier in this thread.

Some areas will still have yellow, as they're not automatically changed, especially in rural areas, when the sign design changes.

They'll stay the obsolete design for decades... maybe forever.

Good one OP! ^^^ A yellow one would be a temporary sign, like at a construction sight. White with red borders are definitive, permanently posted road signs.

Then yes, assuming all of this is true, then you are right, it is no mystery.

You are ALL correct. Some are yellow...some are that off white color with black border. Some have a little red in there too. YIELD signs can take many shapes sizes and colors. When you live in fucking Alabama your whole life you might think all YIELD signs are like yours everywhere you go. You might be a redneck neck too.
