Only been driving since 1982 or so. The "Yield" signs have always been red and white.
Triangle shape at intersections.
Confusing for many drivers. I was a driving instructor in 1986.
Nobody understands what they mean anyway.
But I have been in about 40/50 states and lived in the Northeast, Midwest and Northwest.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24659100 agreed- they are confusing and lead to tentative behaviour rather then an affirmative reaction to a command in order to yield, you have to stop and pause to see if traffic is coming so you might as well just put a stop sign there and avoid the confusion and potential serious accidents
