No one is claiming parallel universes, alternate time lines, or reality shifts.

FACT 1: Most people in this thread think Yield signs are yellow some claiming their entire state has yellow yield signs.
FACT 2: the great majority of yellow Yield signs were replaced in 1972 - 48 YEARS AGO.
FACT 3: Not a single person who claims they know where a yellow yield sign is has been able to provide a photo of one.

Are you contesting these facts?

Imagine the cluster fuck it would be if different states in the same country used different color signs for the same thing as that idiot is claiming? Maybe Idaho would have blue stop signs. Maybe they also drive on the opposite side of the road in West Virginia?

Of course you've seen them before if you're old. When I was kid they had yellow yield signs but were talking decades ago. We want to see one in use in the year 2019.

Also to clarify, I believe there are probably some out there, but very few and far between and finding one would be no easy task in the year 2019. Hell, they're collectibles at this point that you could sell on eBay.

Here's a guy who photographs old signs. In 2011 he made it a point to take a picture of a yellow yield sign.

Some things the US tarded out on and began to "accept" notions imported from other countries.

Anytime a standard is changed, there is lost information.

Glad we never switched to metric back in 1972, but the yield sign
somehow stuck.

The sign for "toilet" and "wheelchair" also got mixed up in 1972.

Don't get me started on standard electrical wire colors in the USA vs other countries!

Just because some standards authority on the other side of the world decided something doesn't mean we have to change anything here in the US.

So I'm going to say "real" American yield signs are yellow and black. The red and white ones are foreign agitators, here to cause "unrest".

There aren't even supposed to be Amber lights on the back of ANY vehicles by USDOT law, but Japan shipped millions of cars here with Amber on the turn signals on the rear! Amber was only permitted on the front of vehicles, and then not until 1965. After 1968, it was permitted for side clearance lights on vehicles, but that didn't stop Japan from disregarding our DOT standards for safety on vehicle lights.

Question: What color is permitted for dashboard indication of "high beams on", and when did it change from red?
