AND most of them died a horrible death, one that could have been prevented had they only renounced Jesus. Those beliefs are based on political or moral convictions. Basically....feelings. The Apostles and early disciples of Jesus preached a "resurrected Jesus" - an event that solidified His teachings to the Believers. When or whether Constantine actually converted doesn't matter. The "event" that he experienced caused him to legalize Christianity. There are multi-thousands of modern day folks who have proclaimed Jesus as Saviour along with belief in God and the Bible because they also have had an....event.
