Have any Christians on here actually ever read the Quran?

I read it in English, and they say if you haven't read it in Arabic you really haven't read it.
That said, it is a book whose primary thrust is how to have a Theocratic State, how to act within it, how to expand it, and how to incorporate other Monotheists into it peacefully.
In English, the prose does not come off as divinely inspired...it is repetitious and monotonous, boastful and flowery.
However, the overarching concepts shouldn't trouble anyone who loves God and righteousness. Islam *is* the society we should want to live in if we love God and not Satan.
The part where it denies that Christ was the son of God and that he was resurrected...well, this is really the only sticking point, as Islam preaches works versus faith as a result of this denial.
One could feasibly live Islamic while personally believing in Christ at the same time, that's how compatible they are. The precepts are not that different.
