Im thinking about a project to upscale an entire episode of game of thrones.. Using AI upscaling.
I dont know if its filmed in 4K or 1080p... If its 4K i might even upscale to 8K.
The project would take weeks of processing and tens of gigabytes of space and probably an overnight render for the final render of it back into a video.
The only thing i dont know how to do is extract the frames from a video into png files before i can start the work.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77522825 you never edited video? a video file is already a frame sequence, there's no such thing as a video file, just lots of pictures. the problem is you dont know how to do it and working with large files is gonna be a pain if you're learning while doing it. any video editing software should show you frames once you open a video file Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77558336 ok so the video shows as frames once opened... how is that of any use for feeding into an upscaler that needs image files.. I dont just need frames displayed on the video editor, i need the frames saved as frames on my disk drive.
