I could not believe it when my friend called me and said the cathedral was on fire. This is dramatic. Must be a terror attack. There is evening Mass I think 6.30 PM. I hope no one is trapped inside.  No, it apparently is related to renovation work. After all, the structure is over eight centuries old. Maybe a wielder's torch set something accidentally on fire. This will be more harmful from a symbolic standpoint than a structural/landmark one. The fact Paris has been shitted up by the sociopolitical left - with things like mass immigration and homeless encampments - is actually the biggest flames the city is having to deal with. .
