The construction of the Cathedral began in 1163.

For more than 800 years, despite two world wars and a few revolts, this masterpiece of architecture has stood firm.

But Notre-Dame de Paris will not have survived the amateurism of our contemporary political class, totally incompetent and incapable of preserving a treasure of our nation, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This fire is not the fault of any luck. If the Cathedral caught fire, it was because those whose duty it was to protect it were incapable to do so.

Shame on the mayor of Paris who has not taken all the necessary measures to avoid such a disaster.
