the female officer is a murderer

she shot and killed a fellow american citizen to death the instant of her seeing a gun - just as it comes into view.

the male officer did not discharge, because he was right, none of the cops where in danger of their lives

the officer's lives were not in danger, just as the 2 other burger king employees lives were not in danger

you do not kill somebody just because you see a gun

Dude was obviously off his rocker and I can not say from the video that he was putting down the weapon. I can however determine that his mental state was beyond questionable at the time, he was armed with a gun and was not complying nor speaking to the fact that he would comply.

The first mistake was in calling the police.

Nope, but many are dead afterwards.

Suicide calls as a great example - Its against the law to take your own life, thats the states job, we'll be right there to take him out.

My reaction would be to comply and he reaches for something. What exactly is wrong with just complying with a cop?

For 45 seconds they were yelling at him to drop the gun on the ground, over and over and over again. He would not comply and the gun was in his hand. All he had to do was drop it. His final move- whether it was to place it on the ground or not- looked sketchy as hell and as amped up as those cops were after screaming at an armed guy for almost a solid minute, it isn't a surprising outcome.

But now we're back to individual responsibility. That guy had no business behaving that way with a gun in public and once the cops showed up and started trying to secure the area, he should have complied. Does he deserve the death penalty? No, but he didn't do anything to help himself.
