Quoting: ^TrInItY^ If someone is in pain, they deserve relief. If you've ever had that kind of pain, pain that no other medicine will stop, you would understand. Wait till you finally get that kind of tooth pain and no dentist will dare prescribe you pain meds for it. You're condoning addictive medication because you've been offered no alternative. You didn't get the meds you wanted but you survived. I'd a tooth pulled from my jaw because they couldn't pull it from my mouth. I got opioids for pain. I had symptoms of a junkie afterwards. I wanted more. It's wrong. These doctors know what they are fucking doing. I don't see pot as a bad alternative as it is not as addictive as Opiates. But again the only time I ever took morphine was for a back injury and yes it was needed as I could not get out of bed or walk for 2 weeks I think the point of this is not to prescribe it for every complaint. There are situations where it is needed but not at the level it is being prescribed now. It's being abused. I agree, I will clarify it with my wife tonight. What I got from the published story on Fox News is that they were only targeting specifically Pill mills I read one story were a city had over 1 million prescriptions for Morphine in one year and the city had only 100,000 residents Last Edited by Slowly awakening on 04/17/2019 08:04 PM Evil controls the ignorant... Quoting: Jake I know these drugs are easy to get addicted to. I know a girl that very quickly got addicted to benzodiazepine and I saw her get a bottle of 60 and it was gone in 3 days. That is enough to kill an elephant. Wow that's crazy i have a full bottle of klonopin over 4 months worth..saved through out the years..i supposed to take 2 mg a day but i break it in half..so they multiplied over the years..lol..i have enough for the coming zombie apocalypse She went driving hit 5 cars. cops found the empty bottle and didn't even arrest her.. I looked at the cop and thought to myself you are an idiot. Yea that stuff is powerful..im 6 foot guy over 200 pounds..and those pills knock me down to earth...just 1 mg...scary stuff... Then the opioids 5 years ago i took one, after sitting i stood up...and i fell on the ground, pouring out sweat and blacking out...off n on...for about 5 mins...home alone..after that i said never again... I took two once on a flight from Detroit to Florida To this day I don't remember the flight. Last Edited by Slowly awakening on 04/17/2019 08:06 PM Evil controls the ignorant... These are the first arrests announced since an opioid strike force began late last year. Listen Listening...0:58 The defendants include 31 doctors, seven pharmacists, eight nurse practitioners and seven other licensed medical professionals. They're charged with participating in illegally prescribing and distributing opioids and other drugs, and other health care fraud schemes. "Cases like one involving a doctor in Dayton, Ohio, who at one time was among the highest prescribers of opioids in the entire state," says U.S. Assistant Attorney General Brian Benczkowski of the Criminal Division, speaking in Cincinnati. "That doctor allegedly operated a 'pill mill' and funneled prescriptions to the pharmacy housed in his own waiting room which dispensed over 1.75 million pills in a two-year period." Wednesday's arrests span 11 federal districts in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee and Alabama. "As charged, these cases involve approximately 350,000 opioid prescriptions and more than 32 million pills," Benczkowski says. "[That's] the equivalent of a dose of opioids for every man, woman and child across the states of Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia and Alabama combined." More arrests are expected and investigations are continuing. The strike force is expanding to include the Western District of West Virginia. Benczkowski says the indictments are indicative of the Trump administration and Justice Department's tough stance on the opioid epidemic. [link to www.wvxu.org (secure)] This is really not a good thing. They have doctors terrified to prescribe pain meds now. People are suffering greatly because of it. Yep, tyranny rising under Trump. |

My dad couldn't take Oxy in his final stages of cancer, so they finally gave him morphine at VA, a friend of mine in health industry was was surprised they even gave it to my dad, he said they don't usually like to prescribe it. I'm sure they don't want to prescribe morphine as there are no patents on it, so big pharma not pocketing dough on that one.
