Do you ever really come back from rejection?

No. Only if the person rejecting you ever accepts you.
So, if you have ever been rejected, that just sucks! chuckle

There is the chance you only feel rejected and actually are not, so it is all up to you! flower

Here is some advice on this matter. Not from me cos I have never been rejected! rofl

Why lamenting love lost is easier than bemoaning a missed opportunity.
.. So you have been rejected. Congratulations: This means you are in the game. [link to www.psychologytoday.com (secure)]

I really don't believe you've never been rejected. Everyone has been rejected in some form or another. It's life. You'll get over it eventually. Really it just burns your ego and there's nothing really wrong with it. Eventually someone will say yes. Life goes on if everyone worried about one person's rejection for the rest of their life, no one would ever find love. One person's yes could be another person's no.

You don't need another person's acceptance sometimes they just want something else. Oh well, what can you do? Live your best life.

Shit, I've been rejected by a psychiatrist I had and kicked out of the program and I don't really know why. Sooooooo yeah rejection comes in many different forms.

In an earlier post I told of rejections in my life including jobs and bf and mostly gf's. Hate not getting a job applied for. I have not recently experienced rejection. I am just posting a topic and it actually has great advice! Thank you everyone posting that! flower

To be honest, how she feels is created entirely in her mind.
 Quoting: pool

This is a typical occultist line of pure bullshit. Trying to pretend that their victims are imagining things. They successfully use this kind of lie to browbeat down their innocent victims. These people are ethically heinous. They then use fake psychologists and phony psychology, made up by them, to nail innocent victims with bogus mental illness diagnoses — and have been getting away with this.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77555902

let's not make a thing out of Pool's and my chit chat please?

But thank you for the information. You can expose all in this thread. hugs

Re: Rebounding From Rejection ... or not? Is it even possible? LOL
It depends on the person doing the rejecting and why he/she is rejecting. If you get rejected by a narcissist, for example, you are lucky.
 Quoting: GA Girl

Or if you are rejected by a psychopath, that would be considered luck too, and safer! hf
 Quoting: rewind

LOL! My viewpoint on rejection is analogous to food. Some might hate broccoli or shrimp. There's nothing wrong with broccoli or shrimp - in fact, many people love them. So while it is not easy being rejected and is hard not to take it personally, it's not normally your problem but theirs.

If you are rejected by another, it is really luck on your part although you might not recognize that. If a person accepted you, but didn't really respect you and was a false friend or lover, what have you gained by that acceptance which is bound to be found out at some later point? So it is better to know in advance, and they are really doing you a favor by their early rejection before you invest time and affection.

People who accept you because you are there and convenient, only to reject you at a later date when somebody else better comes along (like those narcissists tend to do), well, those people you just need to be able to identify and run from if they come near.

Now the caveat to that is that anyone can have problems with a person here and there and that's normal. But if your life is filled with one rejection after another, the problem is probably not them, but you, and you need to re-evaluate yourself to figure out what you are doing that turns others away. That is, if that kind of thing bothers you.

Huh? Of course you can?! There are millions of people in the world. Why would you think there is only one for you for your whole life? And why would you want someone who doesn’t want you? Just move on. Develop yourself, try new things, get hobbies, learn to like and depend on yourself and someone will come along - either that or you’ll find that you like yourself just fine and really don’t “need” someone else.
I don’t suffer fools or shills lightly...

Don’t gaslight me, bro.

Rejection is a perfectly normal part of life and does not denigrate the rejectee. I have suffered a great deal in my early life (now I don't care) due to fear of rejection. Far more than any rejection could have caused. I set myself free when I let go of my irrational fear of rejection and failure.

i got rejected badly but later found out she used to bang a drug dealer thug, broke up with him and then started banging him again later.

i felt like crap that i wasn't good enough for someone i really like but it turns out i didn't know who she really was and that i dodged a bullet.

What if everyone you ever knew rejected you.

Then it becomes impossible to reject the possibility that your lifelong rejection is some kind of conspiracy.

There’s another name for this phenomenon. It’s called scapegoating, and it’s a Freemason thing.

I lived my entire life being scapegoated.

I am pretty mad about it. I am very motivated to help expose and stop the whole Freemason takeover of this... was going to say country, but if your eyes are open, it isnt hard to see they took over the world.

They harm innocent people. It cant be allowed to continue.

This is response to the AC quoted, and that is possible. It's also possible that some unknown force is messing with you. It can feel like that Netflix show bandersnatch or whatever it's called. The whole scapegoating thing can carry over to other parts of your life.

It depends upon you. Do you have a real sense of who you are and your full capabiities? Do you have a moral center?

If you are dependent upon what others say about you, you will always be a slave.

If you really understand who you are, then you have an unchanging mission in life.

The problem with being rejected may be the other person, not you. If that is the case, it is possible it is a good thing you were rejected.

After being rejected and divorced by my first wife and now remarried, I realized I could never become who I was meant to be if we were still married. I consider myself delivered from her. After I made the mistake of marrying her, it was the best thing that could have happened to me.

Should never put oneself in a position to be wiped out by rejection.

Usually feeble minded ungodly people have the most difficult time with rejection.
