After reading that article I'd hazard a guess - Yes the parents are guilty.

Poor kid.

They've searched the lake, searched the neighborhood, brought in sniffer dogs and the boy didn't leave the house on foot, brought the dogs inside - it doesn't say it but I suspect that was a cadaver dog. Mom is a druggie, isn't talking to police. Poor kid didn't have a chance.
