What they feel, in fact, is the presence of the spiritual beings your aura has attracted.

The seven colours of the prism are considered by Initiatic Science to be an expression of divine virtues: violet corresponds to sacrifice, indigo to stability, blue to truth, green to hope, yellow to wisdom, orange to holiness, red to love. By concentrating on the different colours, you can acquire spiritual powers, but you will only really acquire them if you reinforce your concentration exercises with the practice of the corresponding virtues. Otherwise you will gain nothing; you will be like those who imagine they can become great magicians by engaging in a particular ritual or by using a particular practice to evoke spirits, without making any improvement in their way of living. The higher entities of the invisible world are not swayed by such attempts; the only creatures that appear to these people are from the lower levels – larvae and elementals. Do you wish to attract angels and archangels? It is your virtues that will enable you to do so. The heavenly entities will come only to those who are able to manifest true light, that is, purity, selflessness and self-sacrifice.

What is purity? Some people consider it a ridiculous and old fashioned virtue they need not bother about, because they equate purity with chastity, and what is the value of chastity nowadays! For others, purity is a wonderful state which evokes nostalgia for them, because they associate it with childhood, with an innocence they can never regain. In reality, purity is a concept belonging to much vaster realms. Everything inspired by our higher nature is pure, and all that is inspired by our lower nature is impure. Through its crude and undisciplined desires, our lower nature pushes us to make decisions and orient ourselves in ways that are small-minded, biased and selfish. Therein lies impurity. In fact, purity or impurity is only a question of intentions, of objectives. Yes, it is the intentions and objectives that make our actions pure or impure. When you have a disinterested goal, when you wish to work for the good of all, your action is pure. So if you are sincerely seeking purity with all your heart, you must begin by mastering your lower nature.

Astrologers claim that some planets tend to be beneficial and others harmful… But you may ask why a planet which acts unfavourably on some people acts favorably on others. The answer is simple: those who are not prepared to capture a planet’s beneficial influences receive only its harmful ones. In reality, no planet is truly evil: even if some have a more severe or violent character, such as Saturn, Uranus and Pluto, it is our aura that determines their influence on us. One of the aura’s functions is to ensure the exchanges between the celestial bodies in the heavens and the celestial bodies within us. When there are elements in our aura which prevent a planet’s beneficial influences from penetrating us, the currents sent by the planet are distorted and refracted and produce harmful effects. If our aura is pure and powerful, however, all influences, even negative ones, become beneficial for us.

There are two ways you can work to develop your aura. Using thought and imagination, you can try to attract the purest, most beautiful colours and surround yourself with them. But, actually, the effort involved will be a bit artificial, and the results will not last long, unless you try at the same time to practise the virtues corresponding to the colours. In fact, the most important thing for the development of the aura is not the exercise of thought but a training in the virtues. You don't even need to do concentration exercises to develop the colours in your aura. Solely by working on nourishing the divine virtues within you, you will attract all the magnificent colours that correspond to them, without having to think about them. And so long as you practise these virtues, the colours will appear more and more beautiful and intense.

When we want to protect a house and its occupants from intruders, we surround it with a fence. The fence is a boundary, a barrier and thus a protection. For the physical body, it is the skin that plays this protective role, and on the spiritual plane the aura guarantees this protection. The aura is the real barrier against undesirables; we have to keep it firmly closed and make it as high as possible. How? Through the work done by our heart and mind. The heart keeps the fence well in place, it blocks holes and cracks, so that we can resist attacks. For love works in a special way, by strengthening our cells and making them able to confront illness and misfortune. As for the mind, it shines the light of wisdom, putting up a barrier which the dark spirits lurking in the lower regions are unable to cross.

The power of spiritual beings lies in the power of their aura. A great master is capable of extending his aura to take a whole region under his protection while penetrating, at the same time, the aura of the region’s inhabitants so as to breathe new life into them. He knows that his physical possibilities are limited, but psychically they are immense, and his only wish is to make use of his aura in order to reach the greatest number of creatures and take them under his wing. By means of his aura, a spiritual master also works on vegetation and acts on atmospheric currents. And again, it’s thanks to this immense aura, which allows him to reach innumerable regions of the universe, that he comes to such a profound understanding of things. You, too, can develop your aura and make it more intense and more vibrant but only on condition you begin by working on the virtues: love, wisdom, truth, purity and goodness.

The aura is our spiritual skin. And it is as desirable for the spiritual skin surrounding us to be wide and strong as it is for our physical skin to be soft and fine. There are people who never stop complaining about the way others look at them, speak to them and treat them. They are so sensitive you would think they were covered in wounds. This shows that their aura is very thin. Why is this? Because they do not have much love. Whereas, you can say what you like to those people who have a very wide aura, and it doesn’t bother them or offend them, for they have a great deal of love. So, if you are so very sensitive to criticism, don’t try making excuses. It is simply that you do not have enough love to seal the breaches, to build thick walls and prevent negative currents from coming in through your aura.

Interesting. Then the next question would be what's the the practical way to forming an aura that can accept the beneficial celestial bodies influence. How is aura formed? by our habitual thinking or belief?
