I've Been Looking for God for Over Ten Years

I gave up long ago and it works for me! People believe good on you! 60+ years I have seen ZERO, ZIP, NADA evidence
of a so called God. I ask folks just leave me be it is amazing how worked up, pissed off they get at me cause I don't believe and I don't get it?

Make sure you are looking for the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.....ask verbally and you will find. Things will start happening pretty quickly and you will be amazed.

He is inside YOU.. try there.

Do you pray? You can only find God from within.

Don't give up.

It took me a lot longer than 10 years, plus a smack in the head.

Seek, and He will reward you.

I found God by seeing that all the hurt and evil in the world was coming from people. Then I learned what Jesus taught and realized that if people lived by what He said the pain in my life would go away. I was 6 years old then.

While I have doubted at times in life my faith today is stronger than ever. In fact the more I research the more I see science is totally consistent with the bible. ONLY Scientific Theories, called Scientism, conflicts with the bible.

That's the One who I've been looking for.

For anyone interested in this thread...I'm in search of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Iam NOT interested in any other god. Additionally, I am not interested in anything atheists have to say.

Yes indeed. I do pray each and everyday. In fact, I pray many times through out the day.

I always feel like I'm just talking as I don't see any results.

You are still breathing.

Thats a result.

The moment you call on the name of the Lord...he protects you.

You will only find out in hindsight how many times you COULD have been harmed or killed but were not.

Angels are assigned to you now. And God will reveal himself to you at exactly the right moment.

Dont go by what you see...or feel. Go by what HE says. "Those who call upon the Name of the lord...WILL...BE....SAVED".

You can bank on it. As God CANNOT LIE.

He is CONTRACT BOUND BY HIS OWN WORDS TO SAVE YOU.


Ask Him to reveal himself in dreams...or events...in ways only a God of the impossible can do.

He will..IF YOU ARE SERIOUS...HE WILL BE SERIOUS TOO.

If you seek him with ALL your heart...YOU WILL FIND HIM.

That is also one of HIS PROMISES.

And he CANNOT LIE...OR BREAK A PROMISE.

It's a difficult road, but it requires an open heart and a mindset that is OPEN to the fact that when you are willful, rebellious, or angry, YOU are putting up a barrier which most time is an unconscious act.

Talk to him like your own father. Tell him everything. Break down your hard self

Well, my life has been entirely a waste of time, hasn't it?
Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things.

The last 10+ years? Well, that especially hurts considering how much pleasure and great fun I've denied myself in pursuit of the truth.

king Solomon was right....Vanity, all is vanity.

I found him when I was young. The bible was one of the first books I read since I could first read. I like to read the bible from genesis and read on through. I know a lot of people think only the NT is relevant but I relate to the whole bible and God's word.

What would you do if you found him? Would it be the same as finishing any project? Once it is done you move on to another project. What would you do? Who would you become?

Don't stop seeking to have an encounter, to know God, to know God, to have an intimate knowledge and relationship with him. It was that that provoked me to sell out to him and desire that above all things. I pursued the greatest pursuit and journey one could go on in their living room, and I was determined and hopeful that I would not stop until I found him. I decided that I would not stop until I found him, that no distraction could keep my desire from needing to know him. I was at that point that nothing else mattered, was worthy of my attention, was satisfactory to my soul. And it was because of that I stayed up as long as I could drinking coffee for food and stimulant and smoking my cigarettes until my kidneys failed about 1 month after my determination, and God showed up and began to guide me personally, audibly, physically, spiritually, emotionally, mentally. And though I worshiped a false God, he stayed with me though he put a time limit on me until the end of the year, perhaps 6 months it was, to decide him, or the other man. And I cut it close to the end when I rejected all for Jesus, the Bible, and Christianity.

Within a couple months he guided me to know that he is the one.

It's all about the Holy Spirit. You need to spend some time with a quiet mind and listen for it.

You already KNOW this world and its so called "pleasures" are a trap...and a waste of time.

The reason you instinctivley KNOW this is because...HE KNOWS you want to find him.

Already he has placed eternity in your heart.

The seed is already there.

I too spent many years doing what you did...finding out that its all pointless vanity.

But very FEW people are "blessed" with this knowledge.

Only the chosen ones...chosen BEFORE the foundation of the world have this KNOWING.

Your time is coming ever closer.

A treasure must be sought to be found.

And you are getting very close to finding.

And then you will be SO GLAD you never got cought up in the worlds crap.

God has other plans for you.

NO one can come to the Father UNLESS Jesus calls them.

And you ARE being drawn. This means you ARE chosen...or it would NOT be taking place at all.

Soon you will know.

And in 10 million years from now...you will wonder why you ever worried about it.

Then you will know.

And then..YOU WILL FIND.
