Thank you for doing this, OPie!! Are none headed here?

I have a feeling hitting the pyramid will create further events - that could get scary, itself! Maybe plagues hidden in there, or goodness knows what.

TY again, OPie.

May 6 was the date given...so...four days from today.
 Quoting: StormyNights

5 days from now this post will be proven as phony as its OP. 1 month later OP will have a new Doom date that will come and go. Why do you people post this stuff? BAN THIS FILTHY OP
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76488262

I'm phony because I've posted someone else's prediction. Hey Moran...maybe I will, maybe I won't. Maybe there won't be internet to call me names with. Why do we post it? Because it MIGHT just be legit and duhhhhh...that's what this site is all about.
 Quoting: StormyNights

And if everyone who ever posted a doom thread was banned, there would be no one here.

So shut up AC and get ready..

I love doom. What is GLP for otherwise?

Seriously, one day a giant asteroid WILL hit Erf. I will be one of the first to find out about the impending doom because I read GLP.

They already passed, but they were only discovered a month before...so for all you tards who say, "uhhh...a million amateur astronomers would uh...already have seen a big asteroid in the billions of miles of possible space out there...uhhh." Yeah, miss me with that stupid shit. These are two, two hundred foot (think twenty story building) asteroids that were only seen by JPL last month.

But you think that amateurs are our doomsday saviors. Think again.
 Quoting: StormyNights

To reiterate what I stated earlier:

1. Most likely doom rocks will not be near Earth asteroids. The most likely ELEs will come from the Oort Cloud.

2. Objects from far out are cold (hard to see in IR), dark (albedo lower than coal), and FAST (60-100 Km/sec).

The ideal detector would be on a satellite with an IR telescope looking outward...a BIG telescope.

And you gotta cover four pi of area since an Oort Cloud object can approach from any direction.

Prehistoric humans endured YEARS of cold and darkness when Toba erupted 72,000 years ago.

You need to dig deep and have lots of food. A well for water.

An abandoned mine or large cave would be expedient.

As for food, the minimum necessary to sustain life would be about 500 pounds of grain or beans per person for five years or so.

That is not an impossible number. Lots of farmers have tons of grain stored.

Disagree. ELE's have appened during the lifetime of humanity, and we have survived. Estimates of the number of humans that survived Toba, for example, vary a bit, as low as 1000 reproductive humans to as many as 10,000, but no more.

Now, that was a GLOBAL catastrophe with a years' long effect range, on a populace with NO way to prepare, no technological assistance, and no stockpiles of readily usable materials. We'd have a far greater advantage at this point from a survival standpoint, the key would be surviving the INITIAL effects. Once that's over with, theoretically a small population could survive a LONG time simply by scavenging non-perishables, never mind restarting agriculture, etc if viable.

Doesn't mean we CAN'T be wiped out, it's just a lot less likely, and moreso if enough people are preparing for these kinds of scenarios.

Family and I are doing fine.

Every time I read a good doom thread I buy some more food or other prep.

Keeps me frosty.

Ref Toba, I imagine a bunch of cave people with torches hunting down the last surviving animals to stay alive.

I have read a lot about the Inuit culture before contact with Western traders. They went cannibal when faced with starvation. I am sure we will have lots of dead bodies about to scavenge if necessary.

I have no idea what this I Pet Goat II is about. I watched a bit but it is too strange for my likes.
For a meteor, when it enters our atmosphere it doesnt come straight down, it has its course in the space and as the earth moves on its axis too, it depends on the angle it enters and usually follows the horizon slowing down till it hits the ground or may explode in the air. This is why we may see one cross over the sky above us but it hits the ground several miles away.

This is NOT MY information.

Everything below is quoted from original post of the OP of the information:

This is not a joke. Im working for RUAG a Swiss Aerospace and defense company. Im part of a team providing equipment and software to Government bodies.

Earth is about to get showered with multiple large asteroids. Every government knows about it. It's a known open secret.
Warnings will cause a global panic and cause potentially more unnecessary deaths.

Get bottled Water and canned food. And try to get as far as possible inland.
I cant tell you where it's the safest because I don't know the final trajectory and impact zone. Impact zones is pretty much determined but I don't know them myself. I will go with my family into a remote ski area where we have a winter home.

All I can tell you it's not a drill. Get the people you love no matter what excuse you have to tell them, tell them you don't have much to live and its your last wish or tell them you won a lot of money and you want to celebrate it tell them any shitty lie you have to tell them to get them to go with you and GET THE F*CK out of the cities.
Even if your city wont be affected by the Asteroid, or tsunami or earthquake etc Cities are deathtraps because nobody has any supplies and no supply will come, at all. If you read any war diaries out from Russia you will know that murder, raids and cannibalism are normal in a large city cut out from supplies.

Even if you aren't in the Blast zone, the tsunamis and quakes, ash cloud and food and electricity shortages will be insane.

There are some associated links as possible guesses as to what this MIGHT be:

Hey CleverCreator - good to see you. Below sixty here as well. Beautiful sunshine, though.

Yes, it feels doomy like a weight on the chest, and more piling on. Yesterday was bad enough, with all the warnings and possibilities. Today we have ageism shills trying to divide us on forums, pigs infected with a disease we can catch, two dead on an airplane from a plague, if I read it correctly, and a lot of people isolated somewhere with the plague. That's not a careful reading of pinned threads - more a glance or three.

We have doom of every flavor hanging around us, and I refuse to believe it's all false and as the trolls say, Nothingburger. I don't believe we can get by with nothingburgers much longer. Law of averages, you know. Now we are waiting for asteroids to hit us Saturday or Sunday - yup, DOOMY is right!

Forgot to mention that also, just because there isn't enough going on, SkyKing messages, which are those from and to and between nuclear-equipped US military aircraft have been active today, according to Marfoogle, who is a great person for news.
