Israel has the best defense in the world. Tech the USA doesn't have. I'm sure they will be fine.
 Quoting: SoloTrashyCrowd

Fine, well now there's a subjective word. I can't imagine what it must be like to live in such a World and for so many, many years. It's a shame the world has allowed this barbaric behavior to go on as it has, in many cases even excusing it.

If I were Israel the entire area of Gaza would have been bulldozed long ago...

We've been here so many times before. This time will be no different.

In this case, Hamas would not be able to hit Dimona. And why would they want to possibly irradiate a big portion of the people they claim to fight for? Propaganda from both sides.

Why do Palestinians fire these rockets? Thats easy. Because the media reports them. So every time Hamas fires a rocket, just check who was killed earlier the same day or the day before. Its usually a kid or some old person. They rarely fire rockets when the resistance is killed unless many of them have been targeted by Israeli missiles.

This escalation of violence is not solely in response to the deaths of two Hamas terrorists on the Gaza border Friday afternoon.
 Quoting:

So the rocket is like a distress signal, it indicates that Israel is attacking them. If they don't fire a rocket, you would not know that they are being silently killed by the occupation.

And of course there is a very important point that mainstream media will never make. All people under occupation have the right to resistance even with armed struggle against the occupation. This right is protected by international law which is why you won't see international jurists extending any negative opinion on it. Just zionist media.

This is one of the reasons why all post colonial nations support Palestine, because Israel wants to claim that occupation is some sort of religious or ethnic right and that people under occupation have no right to self defense. Fortunately international law does not recognize that nonsense.

And neither do most people of the world who have struggled for centuries with violence and non-violence to free themselves from the yoke of occupation. It is therefore not surprising that Israel is largely supported at the UN by those countries who have a history of colonial occupation and who dismiss the self determination of people in their own lands or their right to sovereignty in their own country.

Re: BREAKING: MIDDLE EAST UPDATES - US GOVERNMENT BRIEFINGS TODAY P529
UN investigation into the 2018 Gaza protests has concluded that Israeli officers and their leaders may have committed war crimes or crimes against humanity. The human rights council’s commission of inquiry found that soldiers intentionally used live ammunition against civilians, who included children, women, journalists, health workers and people with disabilities.

The figures are telling: more than 6,000 people injured by Israeli bullets, with 183 killed. Renowned human rights organisations such as Human Rights Watch, B’Tselem and Al-Haq had already denounced this policy, with B’Tselem calling on Israeli soldiers not to follow orders to shoot civilians. The people of Palestine still wonder whether such findings will be used by the international community to implement policy aimed at ending the Israeli occupation, or whether it will be business as usual.

UN says Israel's killings at Gaza protests may amount to war crimes

The killing of Palestinian civilians during 2018 is part of a long list of ongoing Israeli crimes and violations. Israel, the occupying power, often denounces any reporting on its treatment of the people of Palestine – going as far as pushing for the expulsion of the representative of Human Rights Watch and refusing UN commissions of inquiry or special rapporteurs access to the occupied territories.

Israel has long been targeting Palestinian civil society organisations and human rights activists for exposing its ongoing policies of colonisation that deny the right of the Palestinian people to be free. Sadly, if members of the international community don’t act, the results of this commission of inquiry will eventually be added to other investigations – including the recently released EU report on Israeli settlement construction – and Israel will continue to violate international law and UN resolutions through the complicity of a number of UN member states.

The EU, Israel’s main trade partner, has a consistent position for ending Israel’s occupation of Palestine – reaffirmed in a statement from the Arab-EU summit at Sharm el-Sheikh last month. But Israel also knows that, among its main trade partners, and particularly within the EU, products coming from illegal colonial settlements in the occupied territory are not being labelled, let alone banned. And while Israeli settlers enjoy the benefit of visa-free entry to Europe, Palestinians living only a few metres away still require them. Indeed, none of the countries who claim to be concerned about “fairness” have taken any significant step towards holding Israel accountable for its decades-long crimes and violations.

What we see on the ground reflects a deep culture of impunity. We see international companies working in Israeli settlements; countries continuing to sell arms to Israel despite its repeated violations of international humanitarian law; an increase in settler tourism, which contributes to the illegal colonial-settlement enterprise. Alongside this, Israel’s theft of natural resources and effective control over all aspects of Palestinian life, including the population registry, clearly show how the Palestinian right to self-determination is violated on a daily basis.

Re: BREAKING: MIDDLE EAST UPDATES - US GOVERNMENT BRIEFINGS TODAY P529
I am a Christian, but far from a Bible-thumper, and I am not trying in any way to hijack this thread into any sort of religious discourse, but this is a conflict that stems from the dawn of time---from when Abraham slept with Sarah's handmaiden Hagar, impregnating her with Ishmael, from whom the lineage of the Arabic peoples sprang from.

"At a celebration after Abraham's son with Sarah, Isaac, was weaned, Sarah found the teenage Ishmael mocking her son. She was so upset by it that she demanded that Abraham send Hagar and her son away. Abraham gave Hagar bread and water then sent them into the wilderness of Beersheba."

Just a history lesson to give some context to what is going on today. It is an ancient conflict and an ancient hatred. In Palestinian schools, the children are indoctrinated to hate Israel. Until that ends, it is a self-perpetuating vicious cycle. If you asked the average Palestinian child if they hate Israel, the answer would likely be yes. If you asked them why, the answer would likely be because we are told to. Sad.

The truth is, this conflict will continue until the return of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the planet.

Anyway, I am done with this subtopic. I truly did not want to inject a religious tone into this, but with the historical context of it all, it is hard not to. The religion and the facts of the matter are almost inextricably interwoven.

So what are the indiscriminate attacks on Israeli civilians via rockets, fire kites and stabbings?? Are they not crimes? Shooting people trying to kill you is self defence imo. It may seem harsh but them people know the consequences of their actions.... Don't wanna risk death then don't go and protest against the border... stay home, sip tea and let some other idiot take a bullet for no reason other than gettin a martyr badge for a cause the leaders never risk themselves for....
