It is very good, quite accurate too.

The core from the reactor literally exploded, and was exposed. Chunks of graphite from inside were outside on the street and those firefighters were picking them up and looking at them.

That beam of light going into the sky above the reactor looked like gamma radiation. The officials refused to believe it was as bad as they were being told.

The people in town gathering outside to watch while radioactive ash and dust from the plant falls on them.

Great series, can't wait for the next episode.

Real life disaster that is more frightening than fiction.

Yes it is quite accurate. Read the book recently published on Chernobyl, great detail.

The whole Pacific Ocean and the world is suffering from Radiation Syndrome from Fukushima.

Mass die offs, limbs falling off starfish. etc.

Look at 1945 film of radiation victims from Hiroshima and Nagasaki if you want to see effects of radiation, heat and blast damage.

Radiation is bad, mmmkay? In all seriousness, its really bad. Imagine a sun burn from hell. Literally. It not only burns your skin, but enough exposure will result in such nightmarish symptoms that could only come from hell. First, it starts out with vomiting in minutes. Within an hour expect heavy diarrhea. Along with a severe headache and a severe fever. If you watched the episode of Chernobyl, you saw how the engineers who were exposed to the highest levels of radioactivity, experienced the above, but also rapid impairment, and loss of cognitive ability. What it didn't show were the seizures, tremors, but did show the ataxia and lethargy. They would experience no illness, because their deaths would occur within 48hrs. 100% mortality.

Here's a flamboyant video to describe the effects of acute radiation poisoning. Also, the blue light that was seen coming from the plant was the result of ionizing radiation breaking down the molecules in the air, creating a beautiful light. This same ionizing radiation is what is so dangerous, as it also breaks down the molecules within the human body, resulting in serious damage.
