...maybe a different way of saying it would be: I wish
moms were such excellent parents to their kids, their kids
would feel this way on "Mother's Day." NOT all have a
nurturing and supportive mothering experience, sadly.

Yup. And that one was actually for my mother, long passed, and sorely missed. Too bad everyone with decent mothers doesn't appreciate the loyalty, love, and dedication.

I feel badly for the "moms" who are left ignored and
abandoned on these so-called "holidays." I would just as
soon they drop the holidays that aren't actually historical
or for religious beliefs. A focus on something like one's
mother--or father's for June's Father's Day--for people with
"issues" can be very painful. Some even commit suicide or
crimes on these "holidays" because their issues get
triggered. I don't think even ONE SUICIDE or ONE MOM'S
(OR GRANDMOM'S) TEAR should happen because someone has
so much pain on Mother's Day...It really isn't necessary
to sell more Hallmark cards or more plastic crap we will
never use. Maybe it is time to LET GO of Mother's Day
and Father's Day. But that's just me.
