This is not only popular on the drug markets - go look at all the major crypto ransoms. Every time, the perp either requests or transfers (afterward) the funds through Monero, effectively breaking their trail. That's why monero et al will never be allowed mainstream. Because your conspiracy is correct...... Not only will they not be allowed into mainstream if they can maintain separation. But they'll be rendered illegal and thus made into red flags by simply connecting to / Using. And while they may not be able to discern your identity in the chain, they WILL be able to link back your identity to having connected to it, which means it's game over. You should do some research on just how truly anonymous Monero actually is. It hides the sender, receiver, amount transacted, IP address that sent XMR and IP address that received XMR. Only the person who sent the Monero can obtain a special one time key to prove they sent Monero. It's dynamically generated based on the two different wallet signatures transacting and is IMPOSSIBLE to trace by analyzing the block chain. Not 99% likely, impossible. Think of it this way, I place a ball under a cup and place 20 empty cups beside it. I then cover all cups mix them up randomly and then ask you to pick the cup with the ball. You absolutely must guess which one it is under, you can not know for sure as it is random. |
