I trust God to preserve His Word for me, completely without error. I don't trust fallible men who claim one piece of Scripture is more important than another. That is a heretical path, my friend. God included everything for a reason, and He does not need you to edit His work.

This is a very appropriate verse by the way. There is controversy, and there is a mystery to this. Something we cannot easily wrap our little heads around.

1 Timothy 3:16 is another verse that has been "added to" in newer manuscripts.

The oldest ones have "HE (meaning Jesus) was manifested"...not "God".

16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
