Jesus Christ and Jehovah God are One and the same Divine Person. The following Scriptures confirm this:

Jesus Christ is our Savior "To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord..." [2 Pet.1,2] Jehovah God is our Savior "...I am the Lord your God,The Holy One of Israel, your Savior..." [Isaiah 43:3]

Jesus Christ is our Redeemer "looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ ,who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works." [Titus 2:13,14]
Jehovah God is our Redeemer "As for our Redeemer, the Lord of hosts is His name, The Holy One of Israel." [Isaiah 47:4]

Jesus Christ is our Creator "...by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him." [Col.1:16] Jehovah God is our Creator "Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb: “I am the Lord, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself..." [Isaiah 44:24]

Jesus Christ is Our Father " For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." [Isaiah 9:6] Jehovah God is Our Father "...You are our Father..." [Isaiah 63:16] "But now, O Lord, You are our Father..." [Isaiah 64:8]

Jesus Christ is The I AM "Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” [John 8:58] Jehovah God is The I AM "And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” [Exod.3:14]

Jesus Christ is Lord of lords "These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords..." [Rev.17:14] Jehovah God is Lord of lords "For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords..." [Deut.10:17]

Jesus Christ is The Almighty “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” [Rev.1:8]
Jehovah God is The Almighty "When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God..." [Gen.17:1]

Jesus Christ is Our King "These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.” [Rev.17:14] Jehovah God is Our King "The Lord is King forever and ever..." [Psalm 10:16]

Jesus Christ is the First and Last "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. [Rev.22:13] Jehovah God is the First and Last "Listen to Me, O Jacob, And Israel, My called: I am He, I am the First, I am also the Last." [Isaiah 48:12]

Although all these passages reveal to us that Jesus Christ and Jehovah are One and the same Divine Person there are other passages that make a distinction between them. It's important to remember that Jesus changed between His birth and His resurrection. During His life on earth Jesus was tempted. And because He wasn't yet glorified, He had to enter into His glory by degrees. He also "increased in wisdom and stature." [Luke 2:52]

Before the resurrection, the union of Jehovah and Jesus was not yet complete, this is why Jesus said, "I am going to My Father, for My Father is greater than I." [John 14:28; 16:16]

It was only after this work was finished that He could say, "All power has been given to Me in heaven and earth." [Matthew 28:18] It was not until then that He was completely and fully God.

The passages that make a distinction between the Father and Son don't describe a relationship that exists between two Persons. It's the kind of relationship that exists between soul and body. This is why the Lord said "Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works." [John 14:10]

We never speak of one person dwelling in another person, we do however, speak of the soul dwelling within the body, or in this case, the infinite Divine Soul dwelling within Jesus Christ. This is the reason why the Lord is "...the image of the invisible God" [Col.1:15] and is the very "form of God" [Phili.2:6]

John said, "No one has seen God at any time. The only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has revealed Him." [John 1:18] The Divine Soul is invisible [like a human soul]. "You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form." [John 5:37; 6:46] But in Jesus, that Soul is revealed, as in Its own Body.Since we communicate with a person's soul only by means of his body, Jesus said, "No one comes to the Father but by Me." [John 14:6] By coming to the Lord Jesus Christ we're drawing near to the One God of the universe Who has come to earth to show Himself to us in His own loving Human Form.
