Second, this shows the actual value of junk made in China. Cheaper to throw away than to ship returns |

I suspect it would be about like trusting Walmart's house brand "organic" anything. Same shit, different package. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10485453 Well i purchased a tent, went to a 3 day festival with it, packed it back up and set it back to Amazon for a full refund no questions asked. gee thanks Bezos. Amazon browbeats their suppliers in many ways. One is they want your product in their warehouse, however if it does not sell within 6 months they either start charging for storage or you have to pay for it to be shipped back. Most suppliers are outsourcing production, so paying $17 for an item to be shipped back (that they aren't making $17 on) vs. Amazon offers to "Destroy" the product for $12. For returns AMAZON demands full payment including shipping from the supplier, then they crate up 2 dozens returns and sell them AS-IS to online auction houses. THAT EVIL FUCKER BEZOS is MAKING MONEY on BOTH sales and DESTROYING because it only cost them a few pennies per item to dump then in a landfill. HE is a FUCKTARD. I NEVER use Amazon for anything other than their reviews, then I search for the same items elsewhere. Shop local and DON'T go to Walmart!!!!!!!!!! |

Quoting: Lance Roseman From BC [link to fromthetrenchesworldreport.com (secure)] Hate to tell you but this story is complete BS. How do I know? Because I buy unsold and customer returns, wholesale and in bulk from Amazon. ALL of it? Well, I can't speak to that BUT I have multiple sources that have literally hundreds of auctions for their products at below wholesale in most cases. It's a mixed bag..some stuff is new, or refurbished, some customer returns. As far as Europe, I have links available for Amazon auctions from there but it wouldn't be feasible to bid on those due to shipping costs. I have access to Costco, Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart auctions...it's a common practice for all retailers. Editing to add: I just checked my links for confirmation and found numerous auctions for AMAZON in Europe...some of them full truckloads (18 wheeler type)auctions in several European countries including FRANCE. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77345791 Its all one big con. People recycling thinking they are doing the right thing. Problem is, the products/food is shipped here and to pass as being made here, it has to be packaged here. So much plastic garbage with Australian flags on products is being shipped to Malaysia but Australia is getting blamed for it. OUr governments don't know what to do with the garbage and don't make allowances for disposal because the products themselves aren't made here. Globalism is bullshit. |

Just one more step in the World Goobermint. You see, profit is not necessarily the ultimate goal. That is why Amazon has shown a loss pretty much from the time they opened. We literally had to destroy/rip apart dog beds, collars, toys, etc and trash them and were NOT allowed to donate them to animal organizations. I had to let them know when to check by our dumpsters to tet the stuff to actually use it. |

Quoting: Lance Roseman From BC [link to fromthetrenchesworldreport.com (secure)] "But the cost of having products shipped back is too high for a factory like ours. Amazon will sometimes advise us to change the price, but sometimes they will advise us to destroy products. My personal view is that if products don’t sell, Amazon should donate them to charity rather than throw them away.’" - an excerpt from the article. If not charity simply make their sweepstakes and online giveaways that much more easily won. I know I've won a handful of things from Amazon over the last two or three years. Mostly stuff that are crap. I did win a $65 coloring pencil kit which I sent to an online friend of mine's house since she's majorly into drawing. I know I wouldn't mind winning some household essential equipment, and/or other useful items from Amazon. I figure alot of people hold similar sentiments too. Lots less perfectly good Chinese wares landing in our various country's landfills and lots more perfectly good Chinese wares winding up in the dwellings of Americans.
