Nothing nefarious going on in this news story. However, this public news article did expose some of the covert WMD detection capabilities of our country. A DoE NNSA Nuclear Response Team (NEST) was most likely alerted and all over the scene within hours. I will simply state they can detect a truckload of bananas (emitting K-40 radiation) on its way to a local Walmart.
