someone needs to do it. if those who predated him hadn't sold out our country, then this trade war wouldn't be necessary.

This "trade war" is merely ending that bullshit. But in order to help during the "war" the farmers should get help, once it's over they won't need the help. Besides we've already seen that China can't meet their food budget without US farmers. You do realize that there are other countries in the world whose agricultural products are becoming cheaper than the US, right? That's who China is placing orders with now. Those countries' farmers gain. American farmers' loss.
