Anybody find it interesting that the day the stock market tumbles 696 points Quoting: Yew bitcoin raises up over $1,000? Tens of billions were funneled into bitcoin yesterday as the market fell. Stock market has big decline and then bitcoin receives billions. Its like people literally cashed out stocks and quickly bought up bitcoin as a safer option Yep!! I wonder if in 20 years people will still be proclaiming 'crypto is a ponzi scheme you extremely rich idiots!' Gotta have money to make money. Bitcoin is one way to make money, gambling, there are also casinos, the lottery, etc. The point is if you have money there are different ways to invest and make more. So with that being said while you are celebrating don't forget those who lost everything when bitcoin dropped. Also don't forget bitcoin is still less than half it's peak. Good luck out there at the horse races. I appreciate your input, kind feller! I like choosing crypto over other gambling/investment methods because it's the easiest one to learn/use your brain to advance your payroll. Casinos you can count cards and advnace, but that takes a very long time and a ton of intelligence. HOwever, learning pricing trends of cryptos, their indicator signals and cycles is a lot easier and can yield some fairly rapid gains as long as you do it right. Horse races is more luck than research I think? could be wrong though iv'e never researched it lol [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] Satire is one of the few forms of protected speech we can use to, well, speak. When global stocks tumble, it appears people across the globe thrust their money into bitcoin. Quoting: Yew I wonder if that trend will randomly stop or if it will become a greater trend moving forward. (the answer should be obvious) [link to www.cnbc.com (secure)] Again, I am posting this to show you guys bitcoin is permanent and not going anywhere. It's now the fail-safe option for when global markets begin failing. Lol stop spreading bs, the whole crypto market is valued less then one mid size company on the stock market, it is nowhere near in size to support any hedging, the market crashed last december 20% and crypto was all crickets, fact is crypto is controlled by oligarchs that came in early and they control over 50% of all coins in circulation so they can pump and dump when they feel like it |

Gold down -5.00, obviously no longer a flight to safety. BTC yesterday morning's value around $7,000 today value around $8,000, obviously a new "flight to safety". Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71388910 That's a good sign. Or are the PTB leading the sheep into the promised land of Bitcoin to keep them from moving to Gold (the True enemy of printed/fake currency)? Seems odd that Russia, China, Banks, etc. are buying Gold while the Media is telling us Crypto is the way to go. When has the Mainstream Media EVER had our best interests at heart. The rest of the world is trying to re-patriot its Gold and not having much luck or when they do get it back it is not the original Gold that was deposited. I have said since the beginning that Crypto IS the way of the future but all of the current crypto's will be made worthless and the (as yet not introduced) Globalcoin will be introduced. All the rest will be made worthless because Amazon, Walmart and Alibaba won't accept them thereby making them worthless for the most part except for underground crime...the public at large will have no use for them. Still I wish all you young guys the best of luck with Cryptos... I have no Ill will towards the cryptos...I just feel like "It's a Trap"! |

CNBC touting BTC? I remember when gold and silver took off for the moon, in a matter of months (2010-2011) silver went from $11 an oz to $49 an oz, and there was not a peep from CNBC or any other financial news program. Then they killed it. If CNBC is informing you of the wonderfulness of BTC it is because they are deflecting you over into it. They want you to buy it. Remember that. |

Bitcoin prices are high, either because: It's just another Pump n Dump cycler/ponzi scheme (recycled scam from e-gold days) OR To lure people in so it can become the one world currency at some point, in which case those who promote bitcoin are promoting their own loss of freedom and ultimate demise. It has no inherent value. Even if it did, take a look at what govt intervention can do to things with real value, such as gold and silver. If Govts ban its use, then the value plummets. |

The west runs on paper. We have a LOT of paper for sale. We buy contracts, stocks and shares and act as though they are valuable. This is good, since the US has been keeping the prices of gold and silver in check by supplying it at low prices to countries around the world that still understand its value. In the US the gold cupboard is bare and don't even ask about silver. They claim hundreds of millions of ounces in warehouses but take all month to deliver the small orders that still demand physical metal. They have created a new process to rid themselves of delivery problems called EFPs. "Exchange for Physical" that are apparently disappeared over in London. No idea how much of a bonus (in fiat, of course) they pay the holders of these EFPs. They have once again forestalled the inevitable collapse of the CME via this new mechanism. And the beat goes on. At any time they can declare BTC Terrorist Money and begin the demonization of it and its hodlers. |

With these recent spikes in bitcoin, bitcoin dominance has increased to 60% of the market. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75758325 What this is doing, is slowly inching bitcoins price higher while still able to keep alt coins lower. Smartest investment advice is Invest In Bitcoin And Let It Sit For Years. All the alt-coin stuff is a winners game if you get lucky; it is difficult to research a crypto and predict its success, unless you're bitcoin. One can open a coinbase account and have $10/month taken out of checking. You'll never miss it, but 10 years from now you'll be happy. Guess you should have done that 10 years ago. |
