Just lost my Mother this past Sunday who was in ICU. It is tough going for the whole family. I have been reflecting on the fact of how lucky we were to have her for the time we did. Just trying to do our best one day at time right now.

I'm very sorry for your loss. My parents are elderly and very frail and I can't imagine my life without them. I know it's inevitable but that doesn't ease the loss. I hope your mother passed peacefully and it sounds like she was surrounded by family and love. Sending you a giant HUG and strength in the coming months.

Please pray for my Nanna,currently in hospital due to emphysema and lung cancer. I have never lost a loved one whether be friend or family,but ironically it is my Nanna my whole entire world and my heart physically hurts. I am losing my mind and my heart and I would appreciate any kind words and forms of prayer to be sent to my Nanna.

I had the same happen to my grandmother, and felt the same way.

So sorry.

I promise that better days lie ahead for you, though.

Thanks. I didn't mean to hijack OP's thread though. We all get through difficult times in our way and I wish him the best in his journey.

Praying for her and you. She sounds very special. I never knew my grandparents. My last one, my grandmother died soon after I was born. I ma glad you have her and I hope you both get a miracle.

Praying the Lord keep her here to grant your
prayer.

1 Timothy 2
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all,
supplications, prayers, intercessions,
and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

3 For this is good and acceptable
in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men to be saved,
and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

5 For there is one God,
and one mediator between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus;

6 Who gave himself a ransom for all,
to be testified in due time.

8 I will therefore that men pray every where,
lifting up holy hands,
without wrath and doubting.

Your ignorance is not helpful to the OP who asked for prayer. Leave it to a pagan to troll a poor soul who is grieving. No respect for others beliefs... typical.

Sorry to hear man, the first loss is always rough. Just know that as long as you go on with life, the pain will get easier as time goes by, and eventually you’ll learn how to properly handle the emotions for the, god forbid, times you lose your next. It’s all in God’s hands, just ask him for your strength and mercy for your nana, and thank him her suffering will be over.

Love never dies, it just shifts dynamics, she will be with you in ways you cant imagine that will comfort both of you.

She will visit your dreams now, and very much after she is freed from a body which is in great suffering in this dimension.

Mine had the same death, I was so happy for her to be able to move to the next level. Celebrate her, she must be a beautiful soul for you to write this...

I am sorry. I lost my dad to cancer and the treatment actually killed him sooner. I was 23 and he was only 53. Currently dealing with my mom, who has triple negative breast cancer, stage 4. :( I am making each day count and trying to make her last days as pleasant as possible.

Again, sorry for what you are going through.hf

Don't hang on to this world. This life.

Our real life begins on the other side.

Praying for your Nanna and her care givers.

Praying that your Nanna has accepted Jesus as her messiah and believes He has prepared a place for her in Heaven.

Focus on that future life where you will be with Nanna forever. That's what is important. You both have to make it there!

The Lord bless you.

God bless you and your Nanna, OP. I will say a prayer for both of you. When the time comes that she passes, just know that you will see her again and think of how blessed you've been to share each other's lives on this plane. This place is a sort of school to refine our souls for the next leg of our journey and you two will always be together despite any brief interruptions. Remember that.

I got told the young do this inevitably too, that was hard. They get to see so little before their eyes glaze over. And there is always one mean person leading the weak swimmers into the water. Always.

What is prayer? Isn't that something you say before battle to ask God to kill your enemies? How can this help an old woman die?

My mother died last week and we will be having the memorial service on June 1st. Thankfully, my mom died peacefully while in a care facility.

I pray your Nanna goes as quickly and as peacefully as my mother did.

Makes it so much easier to deal with, unlike my grandmother on my Father's side, who my stupid, bitch Aunt kept having her resuscitated even though we had a DNR in place and so, over a three year period, we got to watch her lose pieces of her limbs, little by little, to the diabetes she had.

Would have been comical if I wasn't related, seeing her go from grandma to Johnny Got His Gun over the months and years.

People need to appreciate life when we're here and give f*ck all to death which is bigger than us all. I don't cry or wrestle with death as you can never win.

Good luck with everything.
