Please pray for my Nanna who is in palliative care - I'm losing my world

This isn't going to help, but your nanna was bound to die before you due to her being significantly older.

Accepting the things we can't change gives many people solace. I know it sounds bad but just try to think of it as inevitable.

Bless your heart. My grandmother died when I was in my 20's and it was crushing to me. She was an amazing person who showed us absolute unconditional love. I couldn't imagine my life without her in it. My younger daughter is named after her. When I told my father about the name choice, it's one of the only times I ever saw him cry. There are people that touch our lives in profound ways. I'm glad your Nanna is so special to you. She will always hold a place in your heart that no one else can. I hope she feels better and that you have more time with her.

Can you speak with her about how you feel? It is healing to do so, for both of you.
Also I encourage you to speak to your family minister/ rabbi etc. - you need perspective which greatly eases grief.

Thank you, words cannot express how much I appreciate the kind words. I myself am 28, and my Nanna also showed unconditional love and the up most respect towards people and strangers. I spent 4 years living with her ,just us two and the bond we share is something irreplaceable. My birthday is July 4th,and all what I want is to spend that day with her.

I'm going to pray for you. That you're strong and thankful that you have had your Nana as long as you have. How lucky you are to have her as your Nana. And that you know even when she leaves this physical form she'll never leave you.

You have love in your heart and that is where your Nanna will live.
You can let her know how much you love and appreciate all she's done.
When she is gone you must be the one to teach, to love, to give of yourself to others as she has taught you, for by doing this you honor her memory and her goodness lives on through you. You think your losing your world, but your wrong, Nanna gave you something that can NEVER be taken away, LOVE, which is the only thing of true value in this world.

Sometimes, after someone dies, what you end up feeling is a sense of relief.

You don't have to worry about their pain, you don't have to worry about their safety.

They'll never have to go through those again.

Saying a prayer for you and your Nanna.

I will not pray for her, but I will send "hope" that the doctors, specialist, surgeons and nurses will do their best, as praying will get you no where.

You don’t know that praying will get you no where. It’s done a lot for me and others I know. Sometimes it does not work out the way we want it to though which people will then say it didn’t work. I always pray for whatever outcome is best. Not my will. Praying for the doctors and nurses is always good.

NO worries, she will be at peace and free from disease and age soon enough, and you only have a few short decades to reunion with her.

Just lost my Mother this past Sunday who was in ICU. It is tough going for the whole family. I have been reflecting on the fact of how lucky we were to have her for the time we did. Just trying to do our best one day at time right now.
