Re: BitCoin - break 8300 to be bullish
Seriously. Why do people think it'll go to 100K or 1 mil?

It's supposed to be a currency.

If it's a currency It's value will likely drop to the 100$ range because people will need to spend it daily and whos spending a 1 mil investment? Nobody.

If it's a store of value then WTF is even the point of holding a bitcoin? Pure tulips? Long before 100K people will realize WTF nobody actually uses this to buy shit...i need dollars sell sell sell...

Its retarded. And completely unregulated. Low volume easily price manipulated and a small percentage holds most the coins.

Plus its 100% trackable and tracable.

It's literally the stupidest shit to ever hit mankind. For this reason alone..the stupidity and tracking..I believe it will be a wild success. Humans are far too stupid today to resist this kind of idiocy

It doesn't explain how bitcoin at 1 million each will be a valid replacement for currency.

To be honest if it wants to compete with the dollar, it should be worth a dollar.

Otherwise it's just a pump and dump gambling scheme in order to make quick profits, and not a long term replacement for the dollar.

Well, after trying my hand at playing penny stocks for a couple of years, and dabbling in Bitcoin; I've been more successful with Bitcoin.

I just bought back in last month, and with $60 invested, it is now worth $83

Does anyone know how much my original $60 would be worth if Bitcoin reaches the projected theorized numbers.....?

it's mathmatically improbable that it wont

so long as the internet sticks around.

even if they start removing internet from places it will make bitcoin more desireable and rare, harder to access, which will drive the price up too.

Investing is just a side thing so I can learn.

I don't have much to invest, so that is why I tried penny stocks, which are a joke. And Bitcoin, which maybe in another month I could double my original investment. Maybe if I actually HAD money to invest, I could have invested $1,000 and doubled it to $2,000 in a short time. What other investment can do that these days???

I would have been interested in it if I had lots of money to invest.

I could have been one of the ones who made money or lost it.

Then again if I had money I could invest in other ventures to make real money and not a gamble.

I am not interested in bitcoin or other crypto because I KNOW for a fact they will never replace fiat currency.

Once you understand the fiat system is in place backed and controlled by our government as a means of controlling the population, then you will understand how they will never let another currency with such a volatile value replace the dollar.

Not only that sensible people who own properties, gas stations and grocery stores will never accept such a volatile currency for their goods.

Then you quickly realize how useless all the cryptos are.

What truly makes me laugh about Bitcoin promoters and believers?

That they point to Microsoft, Amazon and Whole Foods as legitimate sources to say that Bitcoin is supported and going mainstream, lol.

Really? Amazon and Whole Foods, both owned by Bezos? Amazon which owns WF and which lost HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS FOR YEARS and who gets to use the USPS without paying for it (Trump has stated it several times already) and to further destroy UPS (a long time, good paying wage) FedEx and the USPS (also a decent wage earn job for decades) while it employees slave wage practices which will soon be done by robots to further destroy jobs?

THAT is your source for not only legitimacy, but also, your justification for selling out by buying in to this beast system?

For over 25+ years, David Icke coined the phrase "Problem, Reaction, Solution" and you Bitcoin fever idiots (like the ones with Gold fever who MINED for Fool's Gold) are literally promoting "The beast" technology and pushing hard for EVERYONE else to adopt it.

See, it's not the powers that be who are going to be forcing everyone to take the mark, it's all of YOU who will push, guilt, shame and demand that others do to, or be chided and ridden into the ground if they don't go along with the majority of the stupid.

It's almost as bad as idiots who watch Game of Thrones and look at you if you have three heads when you tell them that you don't. Sorry, but I played D&D when I was a kid. I like to separate my violence, incest, fantasy and misogyny into individual movie themes, thank you.

Buy all the Bitcoin you want, but I'm not going to be complicit to it all.

You can use BTC in the smallest of increments. It's digital -- miniscule increments if needed. Spending a BTC, as a whole BTC, is not required.
 Quoting: Lady Jayne Smith

No shit. You buy a pizza with one increment and 2 hours later that same increment could of bought a house. Not hour you can't buy a bar of soap with it. It's laughable. Where's it going to stabilize? 1 trillion dollars? 20$? What's the difference? It has no real value. Dollars are backed by the entire US economy. Bitcoin is an agreed upon fantasy value manipulated by whales in a low volume unregulated market.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77629600

What is not manipulated by whales?

In any event, BitCoin is decentalized (not country specific even) and has a transparent blockchain.

Look up the rainbow chart for BitCoin.
It is an investment that looks very interesting, to say the least.
 Quoting: 2012Portal

Every other market is regulated.

The transparency and decentralized aspect is A) how they will implement a one world fully trackable currency

And B) how we know it's a manipulated market controlled by the majority coin holders in an extremely low volume market place.

Nothing about bitcoin is decentralized. It has a small percentage of whales completely controlling the market.

Nothing about bitcoin is 'rebellious". It is 100% tracked and tracable. It will be the perfect one world currency to be used by governments to control the people. They can and will take over any Blockchain.

Here's a novel new currency... Gold. Silver. Anonymous. Intrinsically valuable. Grid independent.

Truth.

The MAIN problem with bitcoin, is that there is finite bitcoin. So bitcoin becomes a click, a group of people with inflated egos who believe quick money exchanges within their own group make them smart, and everyone else dumb. Real millionaires throughout this last decade or so did not make money off bitcoin, and most of them would never need to because real money is just that. So some internet geek bought a few hundred coins, sits on them and calls themselves millionaires. Sure you may be able to buy a handful of items on the internet, but not from amazon. You can't go to the grocery store, gas station, drug dealer, restaurants, or pay bills in bitcoin, they have to wait until another sucker comes along to buy the coin, and the cycle continues. I didn't get a family, house, truck, motorcycle, suv, mtb, hdtv, or good credit from bitcoin. Did anyone here?

Re: BitCoin - break 8300 to be bullish
Coins are having difficulty breaking above the levels they have reached. I have taken 50% off the table hoping to buy back cheaper in the next week. Kept 50% in play, in case I am wrong.

Not so crazy. Good idea. I'm not trading, HODLer. But I also only put in what is totally extra. Play it relatively safe. Was nice to watch the tickers go up like a gas pump this week though!

You beat me to it. I'm still all in, but probably going to pull some out today. Did you put your 50% into alt coins or just cash out? I'm considering trading my BTC for BAT, which is making a comeback of sorts.

Here's thing...

Can can bitcoin make you money?

Yes. Notice the words in that sentence. It makes you money. It isn't money in itself.

Is a future currency? Fuck no. Its unstable manipulated and it tracks you.

For all those reasons its your best bet at making 100% gains OR loses.

It's a money making scheme. Not money.

Dont get burned. Follow the whales.
