The build-up to a wedding is stressful enough - but one couple were dealt a devastating blow in the week before their big day that threatened to put the whole thing in jeopardy.

A bride-to-be, believed to be from America, took to Facebook seeking advice after discovering her fiancé's 16-year-old son had got her 15-year-old daughter pregnant.

The anonymous woman revealed it was five days before their nuptials and questioned whether or not they should still go ahead.

Explaining that she and her fiancé have been engaged and planning their wedding for a year, the woman wrote: 'He has a 16-year-old son and I have a 15-year-old daughter.

'We are now five days away from the wedding. Yesterday my 15-year-old daughter and his 16-year-old son told both of us that she's pregnant. Edit: And he's the daddy.'

She concluded the post with 'now what?', asking if she should still get married.

Her original Facebook announcement evoked 50 reactions and 70 comments, before it was grabbed and shared on the group That's it I'm wedding shaming.

Sounds like there should be a double wedding. Hell they already got all the plans and people set up. Two for the price of one...

If this where in the States, they'd have a shotgun wedding...

Good lord....people do not know how to figure out their lives anymore, and have to ask others for validation/permission or something!?!?!

That would be the LAST thing I considered if facing that type of predicament.

Bullshit! Unless he raped her. They got pregnant. Don't put the blame on the boy. Unless he raped her it was both of their faults. Stop with the feminist anti male bullshit.

She got pregnant. Last time I heard, men can't get pregnant, unless they put a womb in you and then transplant an embryo...

Yes, it takes 2 to Tango. It's her fault just as much as the boys fault...

The issue she has is fair enough. They will be living as a family, but very unlikely the kids would remain together for too long, so it will forever more be a strained, argumentative household.
