I havnt read the thread yet but heard a lot about this today.
I dont really understand why people blame the poll. Im sure someone doesnt just chose to do this without having other reasons to even be thinking about this...

I dont know how it is in other cultures but i was always told "would you jump off a bridge if everyone else did it?"
The answer being 'no'.

If this was the result of that vote then that would mean many more random kids would do the same from having bullies telling them to KYS.
