Who cares what he was/wasn't. He's long dead now. It would be more beneficial if you went out and did something for your fellow man ...

Antichrist marks the end of the need for rationing. Christ was placed in the manger in place of food.

Of course, the boomers have to die first. So heaven is always just on the other side of the fence, like the grass on the septic tank

Re: Was Jesus anti establishment or for the continuity of the establishment?
"Give unto Caesar..."

While the "kingdoms of this world" are in power during man's rule (likely only 6,000yrs), we are to subject ourselves to our rulers. Nearly the entire Bible was written by someone while in bondage.

The "millennial reign" of Christ will be a whole different set of rules and He will rule with a "rod of iron" from the new Jerusalem. So either way you want to look at it, Jesus was/is pro establishment.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Show me a volunteer group whose goals are what they present. I did a lot of volunteering and found a lot of people who hated the people they were supposedly serving or who ran complete fronts that did nothing or worse.

The group for people with business plans who existed to make fun of the girl who wanted to raise lamas and make wool. They wanted to start cults and bang strippers, not card wool. The Christian group who throws all the donations in the trash. The letter writing group to despots which seems to have no purpose at all....who do you volunteer for? Do I direct people in the hospital to their deaths behind the counter? I could do that. I know the names of the parts of that death machine.

Well considering that the establishment had him crucified that should give you a pretty good idea that he was anti establishment.

10He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. 11He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.

“What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swaying in the wind? 25If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Look, those who wear elegant clothing and live in luxury are found in palaces. 26What then did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.

Jesus wanted nothing to do with any earthly government structure. Jesus was after only one thing - provide a way and a path and power for real change in the human heart. To provide a way of escape from the sinful nature, by taking on his nature, his character, his authority and losing our old nature.

Whether government structures were righteous or not, changing this world has to start within the heart of man.

This was and is the only hope for all mankind.

Re: Was Jesus anti establishment or for the continuity of the establishment?
He didn't seem to care.

"Give unto Ceasar what is Ceasar's, and give unto God what is God's."

Jesus went so far as to allow Himself to be tried by Israel and executed by Rome.

I would say it was no skin off His back, but they literally took the skin off of it. Yet, He told Pontius Pilot that the only reason Pilot had any say in His execution was because He allowed it.

Ceasar had nothing to do with God, spiritually. Ceasar was a ruler of this world. And the Pharisees ruled over Israel, with almost no understanding of God.

It is not about nations, but the focus of each spirit's choice of a king.

We all make a choice, one way or another.

Nicea lied because both Yeheshua, and his brother Thomas, were anti Romans from the Essene community.

when Rome adopted the fad years later, it had to be sanitized..

Rome destroyed all records of the historical "Jesus".

he was an Essene, a Rabbi, a revolutionary, and he had a wife.

Jesus biblically was ok with establishment. He said render unto Caesar. His family paid tax, hell , they say he was born in Bethlehem because his family was going to be counted in a cencus...... He followed the status quo.

Neither. A man's soul isn't saved by the flag he waves or how he votes.
